I've seen the blueprints and it's going to be a really nice place when its all said and done. I think its cool how Richt will have a balcony he can walk out of and it will overlook the 2 outdoor fields and has the big U right above it.
 
To think all we needed was a U President and HC with a commitment to football and know how. Not having that cost us 10+ years of mediocrity.

That big Adidas deal didn't hurt, either.

Not to mention the new ACC TV deal and the ACC Network launching.

And a huge donation by the from the Soffer family.

It’s not like UM and Shalala were hoarding funds here.
 
I didn't realize the building was pre-engineered. Makes a huge difference. Interior finishing will still take time, but we're going to see that shell get closed quick from this point. Gives me a lot more confidence this thing will actually be available for fall and possibly even late summer practices. I wonder if there is a way they can get a temporary U&O (or whatever it's called in Dade) to allow them to use the indoor practice fields while the offices and locker rooms, etc, get buttoned up and finishes installed?..

It was a perfect storm, really. The timing of everything was just perfect. From the Adidas deal, to the Clemson beatdown, to Richt being let go at Georgia. Everything just fell into place. Who knows what happens if Shalala stays around? Personally, I am glad we didn't have to find out, as I think her leaving was just another piece of the overall puzzle.

TCO, Temporary Certificate of Occupancy, lasts about 90 days, before you have to reinspect or get your CO.

MR getting fired at Georgia was such a "windfall" for Miami.
 
From watching the video it appears Richt is very involved or they gave him great prep prior to filming. Coach talked about the thought behinds natural vs. artificial lighting, room for Trench (OL, DL) work vs team drills, office spaces.

Very good video.....

Man if these local kids don't wanna be a part of what their HOMETOWN is building, I just don't know what to say! How could you wanna go any where else?
 
All you ballers who get money back this time of year need to spread the wealth.

Now all we need to do is have a locker room renovation but I’m sure with with the new recruiting suite in the IPF complex it will be a nice hangout spot for the guys too. Also the dorm renovations can’t come fast enough

we just renovated the locker rooms like 3 yrs ago then renamed it the dwayne the rock johnson locker room - didn't we
