Manny considering Fedora for OC leads me to believe he is not only looking for sharp football minds and teachers but coaches who bring a level of intensity. Coaches who can light a fire under the asses of the players and also inspire. Loved Hartley and Dugans but at times it seemed like they were friends with the players more than coaches of the players. I remember some of the mic'd up videos of Hartley working with TE's. Constantly repeating himself and almost begging Irvin Jr. to listen.

We need the players to be angry. Rabid wolves who would eat their own poo if they had to. Fedora you da man for the job. Come on down! Yea boi!

I like the thoughts of having Fedora as our OC. Can’t wait to see an offense truly perform to a competent level, which is a sad statement to make. This year’s Speing Game is going to be given a ton of attention especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Like I always say, results matter. Idgaf how a coach teaches his students...the TE's produced this year when given the chance, plus he was a good recruiter. I think Hartley was someone that we should've kept.

Very much like Fedora's constantly attacking mentality, but of realistic candidates I'd rather have Major Applewhite.

The edge between the two, in my opinion, is that Fedora has already successfully coached an ACC offense. Major Applewhite on the other hand, hired Kiffin to be his OC which is why Houston was so good the last 2 years, and his judgement to actually hire Mark D'Onofrio leads me to believe that he can't be trusted to build his offensive staff correctly.

Meanwhile, Fedora has 4 former assistants that are now head coaches (all offensive coaches too).

Great insight, definitely agreed on Onofrio. For me the argument ends up at young and hungry with major (I'll take the pun) program experience. Something about Fedora just feels... dirty. But that doesn't mean I think he'd be a bad candidate or disappointed with the hire.

Where we're at, it boils down to Manny Diaz makes or breaks the program. If he can't do it you might as well shutter Miami football. It's just not working anymore. So I'm all in. Let's go crazy. Whatever we need to do.

The lack of intensity was led by Richt, who was half a asleep the past year

Don’t follow much other than Canes but that last sentence says it all for me. Bring me this Fedora. Now who you got for DC, because we need an upgrade there too. Make if a 4-3 Miami style guy who has the need for speed.
