I just don’t get this play.
King almost never keeps it when he’s the one uncovered so it’s not like read option?
It does not fit Cam Harris’s games at all. I think they benched him.
Why do we run it 75 times a game? Do we think the other team doesn’t know what to do?
It reminds me of that stupid RPO we ran with almost no efficiency last year, it’s tough to watch.

Am I the only one frustrated by that play call?

Our oline cant seem to run anything else.. They did call a couple counter/power plays for Chaney but we run iz for no yards wayyy to much.. a bread and butter with no bread

I also don’t know why king doesn’t keep a lot of these zone reads. Lots of teams are playing the hand off/inside zone instead of king. At least run a few times to loosen up the defense - we are too predictable

Yeah it’s frustrating...I feel like it’s the only run play we use smh
We tried outside zone a couple times and got negative yards I think every single time.. The power plays were working decent with Chaney, I think we ran midline type play for king for minimal gain.. IZ majority of time tho..

Oh ok thanks but don’t you think the inside zone is overly used

Am I the only one that feels like Cam just doesn’t have burst through the line? Watching Chaney, Knighton and **** even Burns, they all seem to hit the gap hard and get 3-5 when nothing is there. Cam stays getting nothing on those same carries.

What defenses now see on tape is all they have to do is fake the end going after King and he will give it up. Watch closely and the ends never have any intention of staying on King. They simply make a quick fake outside and immediately run back to middle. If King would just keep it a couple times they might make the ends stay on honest. But he refuses to and its rinse and repeat. Super frustrating as a fan that I can see this but our coaches cannot.
