Inside info on future UM's WR Coach Likens from ASU

Luckily for us he’s stickly a position coach...

I’ll judge his recruiting after next season... but no one had high hopes for Hickson when he came on yet ole boy broke the Deerfield curse and brought us a stuf 1B running back to 1A Chaney
Don't say no one, I was one of the few that thought Hickson would do a good job here due to his background...

But the two situations aren't comparable... There's a big difference between Hickson & Likens.

Likens is a likable guy, good for interviews, average recruiter, poor OC, decent position coach. Basically Enos with a good personality. The reporter sounded like he was trying hard to be politically correct and give lip service.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the Hickson comment. From what I recall, both Hickson and Fields were thought to be nice pick up on staff b/c of the respect they have among So. Fla. That's how I remember those two, but you could be right.

Yeah, cannot understand the Hickson comment. He was quite obviously the best addition to the staff when hired (admittedly, a low bar). RB background, Broward bakcground, liked, respected.

Wish we could've brought back Curtis Johnson, wherever he is these days.

We'll just have to wait and see about this guy

If we'd had this board when Dennis Erickson and staff came in, we'd be howling. That staff did win two NCs and its recruiting was a mixed bag.
