Wasn't a problem for the 01 team, bro

Wasn't a problem for any of our great teams.

Some years ago, I was talking to a Hurricane oldtimer, Bruce Brinkos, who played guard for us in the early '60's. He described what it was like for the visiting teams who had to play us in the OB. He described how the sweat was dripping off the opposing team players and how they were wilting by the end of the third quarter. Those were Friday night games, not games during the day. If anything, the heat has been our friend.

The construction of the facility solves our problem if we jimmy Hoffa golden into the foundation.

You see, global warming it the cause. Back in 80's practice outdoors didn't get tired because Ronnie was president and there was no global warming. Under Clinton we started to fade but global warming was more a VP thing so Butch was able to rebuild team. 2001 brought Bush and again no global warming so facilities not a problem. But the whole global warming thing lingered so later teams weakened. Now we have full flown global microwave warming under Obama and players can barely go outside. So, depending on the next election, we might or might not need an indoor facility.

Players getting wore out from the heat? I get ****ed hearing our practices are avoiding the heat! You may ask what does this guy know about heat? I'm a UPS driver ( in Florida heat). As a UPS driver its not the heat outside that brings the pain, its the 145 degrees in back of truck while searching for a package. Over time my body has adjusted with a proper hydration system that has not failed me yet. Yea it sucks working out with sweat in your eyes, chapped ***, among a list of unpleasant heat related awesomeness! We have all heard of athletes training at an higher altitude because of the lack of oxygen, their bodies in turn become more efficient. The hot extremely humid air of a south Florida (not to the extent if high altitude) has less oxygen because of the high concentration of water in air.Do any of you guys remember when the Miami Hurricanes would hold up 4 fingers in the 4th quarter and it actually meant something? How bout Jimmy Johnson talking about when you can run like a deer and everyone else is sucking wind, the game becomes fun? When you can learn to embrace the heat, the heat will become one of your biggest allies. Ask Al. I remember him and Gino talking about when Penn St came to play in the OB. Al commented that as soon as the plane door opened the humidity hit him like a ton of bricks. The only good reason to have an indoor practice facility would be because of lightning. That #$&$ is real! It will turn you into a crispy critter real quick. But by all means leave the air condition off. With the medical staff that surround our players, practicing in the heat can be done safe. Go Canes!

Indoor facility would be great, especially during the late summer and fall where thunderstorms are issues delaying or cancelling a practice session. Heats not a factor. There are hotter places in August/September. Ever been to Gainesville or Columbia or Tuscaloosa in August? Awful.

I'm pretty sure king Obama said global warming was Bush's fault! I wish we could get this blame thing right. Bush made pollution which in turn caused global warming, and Obama was suppose to heal the planet when he was elected, if you actually believed any of the crap that comes out of his mouth. And the Miami Hurricane football team problems are obviously because we don't have an indoor practice facility. I'm sure glad we finally isolated the problem. I actually feel smarter! Thank you.
