In lieu of the AAF...why not a professional college age league?

Better question- why isn't the Lingerie League on broadcast TV? Amazon or Netflix could also make zillions with the rights. Perfect thing to watch after my wife goes to bed. If she asks, "Why are you up so late?" I can just tell her I was watching football.

Very few people want to watch football outside of the NFL and college. Anything else is just a "TV show" to fill the gaps between seasons.

Who is paying those salaries?

And who will watch? 95% of CFB fans will boycott, and NFL fans dont really follow recruiting so they dont know these kids.

Only way it works is if the NFL runs it as a minor league. And why would they? They already have a free minor league

NFL scouts and Agents absolutely follow recruiting

Why would the NFL pay for a minor league when they already have one? Plus the AAF was never meant to work. From what I read, they never got the full investment from the guy who was tying to buy the Vikings. And the guy who just bought it out, did it for a proprietary gambling app that apparently Vegas is in love with. The league owned it, so he bought the league, folded it and kept the tech.

Think about the talent you would pluck out of highschool if you PAID MONEY ABOVE TABLE. Set an age limit of 23. You would have a true farm league for the NFL and have a legit case for out recruiting Saban and Swinney.

Plus, the failure of the AAF was a result of inability to share talent with the NFL.

NCAA would have to reconsider its current position. If and when it does, the new league would hopefully have enough of a following and revenue stream to drop the age restriction.

pay money. 23 year olds. no need to go to class.

isn't that the SEC??
