Since so many people claimed "they didn't get the CFP e-mail", I thought it would be helpful to post semi-occasional updates related to important deadlines that are communicated BY E-MAIL. You know, "in case someone didn't get the e-mail".

As a side note, this would be an excellent time to update your e-mail address with the Athletic Department, if you believe you are missing important e-mails...

Anyhow...

First big deadline of the year: THIS FRIDAY, February 13, 5 pm, is the DEADLINE to increase your Hurricane Club membership level and improve seat reallocation priority. If you have been unhappy with your playoff ticket QUANTITY or LOCATION, now is the time to solve your problems the way that Miami has solved so many problems...by paying money...more money...

This will also give you a chance to take advantage of the second big deadline of the year. MONDAY, MARCH 2 is the date that SEAT RELOCATION starts. And just like at your favorite Miami clubs, this is where priority levels will come into play. You will be able to relocate BY LEVEL (and then by ranking points within each level), so if you upgrade now, you could catch a nice break on seat relocation when some dude decides "this is the year I'm going to StubHub everything".

That is all for now.

I will update the thread accordingly.

My understanding is that many non-Hurricane fans either joined the HC or signed up for 2026-27 season tickets to become eligible for CFP Championship game. These individuals all placed an initial deposit.

If that’s accurate (not sure), is there a deadline for the remaining balance? Because many will simply forfeit their “seats” by failing to pay the remaining balance. Those seats then become available for purchase by others. Right?

Season tickets are also sold out so not sure how many relocation opportunities will be available.

Great idea on the thread as well. People forget or don’t do what they are supposed to in terms of email settings, etc.

I can answer that.

When you commit to a particular Hurricane Club level (such as Category 2 or 3), you can make your payments over a period of months, ending in May.

But if you then chose to jump from Category 2 TO Category 3, you would either need to pay the entire difference immediately, or else increase the monthly payment to include the new commitment level.

In short, you do not have to pay all the money by this Friday, you just have to commit to it.

I’ve been a season ticket holder for a long time and I’m happy with my seats, so I don’t pay that much attention to seat reallocation and/or season ticket emails (I got the email today), also my priority level is where I want it to be, but I did not know that the season tickets were sold out. What’s the number like around 50 to 55K? @TheOriginalCane

I believe they cap it at 45k. The rest are visiting team and single game tix, corporate sponsors, etc.

Season tickets really sold out? That’s crazy seeing how many open seats the past season have had..

But shows how bad everyone wanted to go to the championship to commit to season tickets lol

No. It was a scheme by the athletic department/ticketing office to pump their numbers. A smart one…. But come Saturdays in the fall the stadium will be lacking like it always is: even more so this year due to the horrendous home slate in comparison to this years masterpiece of home games

Yes, I have heard similar numbers quoted.

But remember the Fear of a Hoosier Planet? When Indiana had swole our season tix numbers by thousands?

So let's not quite "give up hope" yet. People see "a number" and just stop making the effort. Every year, people upgrade tix, people downgrade tix. People pass away. People move away. It all happens.

The point is very simple. You may want to upgrade for the chance at NCAA tix. Do it this week. You may want to upgrade for better football seats. Do it this week.

And then who knows what will happen in a few weeks. You can't win the Powerball if you don't buy a ticket.

Tbe stench of you poors makes it harder and harder for me to wave down upon you from my luxury suite.

Yes. It's the Nike Triple Black Lot Michelob Ultra ++ x x o o [unpronounceable symbol]

Hard Rock security will shoot the poor-os who try to sneak in with screenshots of tickets.

It seems being a member of the HC or upgrading to a level above your current one will most benefit when playoff tix come around especially the NC game. The difference between the face value of a title game through UM is much less than the secondary markets. Like literally thousands less in some cases. Obviously this isn't the only reason but one of the big ones.

I studied this super carefully both this year for obvious reasons and last year.

The benefit for any team not just Miami of having access to tickets is completely controlled by if you get a home game in which case the dollar amounts are crazy to get in on the secondary in the national championship which the last couple of years have not crashed like people think. The quarterfinals and semifinals you can definitely find deals on the secondary market and sometimes excellent crazy good deals.

If you are a Miami fan, heading into this upcoming season and where admittedly on paper, our home schedule is pretty **** trash other than FSU who might still actually be trashed, but is at least arrival game. Another reason to consider upping your donation is to give you a chance to buy multiple tickets for Notre Dame and Clemson on the road because each tier gets you more tickets from the allocation and in hopes that you can additionally buy more potential home game if Miami is not ranked1 to 4 in the playoff, but it is instead 5 to 8 and in the bigger hope that you make the national title game.

There are of course other reasons like you just want to support the program more or you actually want your season tickets if you have them to get a better location, all of that is great and welcome. I'm sure by the program but if you're just doing a math equation about buying tickets on the open market and possibly selling some that's kind of the guide.

This next year is really shaping up to be a big year for UM football. With our schedule if we get by clemson and ND, we could set ourselves up with a bye and better chance at making a deep run. No guarantees but with Mensah as a 1 year rental, I like our chances.
