Impact of Butch Davis on Miami Recruiting

If/when Miami hires Butch Davis what kind of impact would he have on this 2016 cycle? Do you guys think he will bring in any big recruits?

That is the one guaranteed positive of hiring butch, not only is he an effective recruiter but now he has a track record AND Aura about him. Kids will want to play for HIM, not only UM, but HIM specifically. Speaking to some of these kids it is funny how you realize they see the world. They dont know butch or anything about him other than the U Docs. Those alone have made him gawd status. Also include the respect he garners from most handlers as they are the age where they actually witnessed what he built. Its crazy the things that influence these kids but I have seen and heard it. There would be a positive reaction I am sure.

Any defensive player that gets an offer from butch and declines it is a moron. Offensively it depends on the coordinator
 
Butch is a master evaluator of highschool talent you add that with recruiting grounds of south florida and its a scary sight

Golden was too nice butch has that confidence he just knows how to recehit he knows how to play the game and will do whatever it takes to get his

It'll be a very positive impact. He knows how to evaluate and recruit.

He will find difference makers - whether we've heard the names before or not....

"I recruited a couple RBs you might have hear of .... Hey you QB, did you see Cam on the sideline yesterday? No I didn't recruit him but see the geek looking Coach next to him -- he's mine. ... You might have heard of a couple WRs I recruited ....." I'm thinking Butch gets every player's attention.
 
The recruiting board will be the place to be over the next two months if Butch gets the gig. Even if you are a kid that is leaning toward another school just out of curiousity you have to at least hear Butch out and come on a visit thats for **** sure. ESP if you are in the State of Miami area.

I predict you get a guy like Shavar Manual to instantly book a visit to Coral Gables as one of his 5 visits. You get a kid like Jamel Cook to flip the day he visits. You get a kid like Patrick Bethel to commit. You get a kid like Pie Young to rethink his options. The impact will be huge. I would be shocked if it isnt.
