That school is hilarious by the way. A boarding school for rich kids who play sports. Though it is strange that there are quite a few poor kids that go there. I guess they found a 'grant' for them.

They offer financial aid just like any other private school

And you're opposed to sharing the wealth? Just asking.

I'm not sure what this means. I don't care what they do with their financial aid packages. If they are willing to shell out 75k a year for a lot of their athletes, more power to them. I don't have a problem with what they are doing. I just find their whole school set up really funny.

I have a player going to that school this season. Hopefully I can give you guys some insight on that school.

something don't smell right at IMG getting players from your area is one thing but getting players from as far as cali is kind of extreme, with teams like IMG,STA,BISHOP GORMAN, LONG BEACH POLY stock piling talent i could see a nation wide high school playoff/national championship setup in the near future.

I think this is the wave of the future. Ive been on record for a while now in saying that we will see a two tiered HS athletic system in the next decade. You will see a national level HS competition and the local sports will be more donna shalala-esque. We're already starting to see it now with a few teams in a handful of states. My guess is that it will be mainly comprised of private schools that aren't tied to geographic districts.

Of course they do. I don't know of many private schools that cost $75,000 a year though.

2/3's of that cost is boarding. Tuition is under 30K a year. IMG doesn't even make the top 25 in the most expensive private schools in the country.

I'm sure the many AA athletes that has made STA over the years all paid full tuition! Get off it! IMG is a school/athletic/development/training institution that has developed a formula that separates them from the religious/private institutions whose value was high level education and contacts. It's the American way of creating a better concept to achieve a goal and profit. I visited a former FSU Alum there and the place is 1st rate. FYI, there were athletes from all sports including some top tennis players.

my wish has been granted. someone with UM ties at that powerhouse......i'll take it.

IMG is on a completely different level than those schools don't kid yourself. IMG gets kids from other countries not just other states. They had 4* DT from Denmark who signed with Arkansas, they have a few kids from Canada and a few Germany.

Go Canes

Coach Wright was my HC. Absolutely great man. Truly loves his players even when he was a new coach. He seems to always send his players to dinner schools. He sent about his first 25 D1 players to 20 different schools. He also knows how to separate football and friendships for the sake of winning, unlike Al.
