I agree.
Though we can't keep gambling with inexperienced coaching hires. I do think Manny will make a good HC one day.
At this point I would take Manny over Richt, even though I have no idea how good Manny would be this early in his HC career. I'm just tiered of Richt's act and am ready to see him go.

I think we're on the same page. There were a number of fans that said Manny should be the next HC; I shared a similar concern about having another coach learning on the job at Miami. But given where we are, it's clear as day that Richt's content with winning 8-9 games and riding his current gig into retirement. The man lacks any spine, because a lot of people thought that UGA unjustly fired him. Many thought he'd have a fire about him and would want to prove Georgia wrong; it doesn't appear that's the case at all.

Manny has a ton of goodwill built up in Miami. If he goes to Temple and tries to run his defense with lesser athletes, he'll struggle.

Lesser athletes compared to what? When compared to us of course Temple has lesser athletes but compared to the teams they actually compete against I'm not so sure.

Mentioned numerous times how the offense put the D in tough situations with regards to field position.

LoL, its a good thing manny is not that shallow of an individual, if he leaves it wont be because of coach richt and the offense, itll be simply because of the opportunity that came because coach richt gave him the opportunity. Since you all want to talk about interviews, go back and listen to diaz when he basically said and knew this was about a 5 year rebuilding job, he already understood their were going to be growing pains, i dont think he thought the defenses were going to be this dominant this quick, but he understands what time it is and where the program is at. To many so called UM fans with the doom and gloom outlook, this program is in good shape and will be in better shape come next barring health, the True turning point of the team starts from bowl pratices to springball, wont be long people!

The program's in good shape? Really? Also, how is the turning point going to work out from bowl practices if Richt's giving up half of them voluntarily for no reason?

From the time that Richt took the job, it should've taken him about 5-6 years. We should see a steady progression. We're not seeing it though.

you are correct. we don't see that progress and development. some people think this is like Fat Al Golden 2.0

I think Diaz would stay at Miami, similar to how Venerables is if he were to earn a little more while also seeing this program be on its way to where Clemson is right now. The sad thing is, we're hamstrung by Richt, and Manny sees that clear as day. I'm serious at this point as I'd rather Manny be HC than Richt. At this point, I couldn't blame the man either. Richt's not doing him any favors, and Manny sees that Richt's not doing his best in trying to win. Richt's at the end of his career, Manny's still at the beginning.

Then you just add in the standard obvious nature of being a coach...there are ups and downs, depending on recruiting, etc. You tell me Bud Foster is going to have years like this year...I don't buy it, but its a reality. I would hate nothing more than him moving on, just because my faith in the hiring process at UM in regards to quality is almost depleted. He is likely thinking this is as high as the mountain peak gets under Mark Richt....go out on top of the DC game....HOPE I'm WAY OFF

Your grasping for something to complain about.it's not going to affect how good a coach is just because he went school somewhere else.using your logic guess we shouldn't of hired all of championship winning coaches because they weren't um alums.
