If we fire Blake Baker and Coach Barry...

Baker has been bad but the defense still only gave up 16 points in regulation the last two games.

That means Enos is the real problem.
This the same offensive personel from a year ago..mainly upfront. In facts it’s worse.. that’s true crux of the problem. Too many breakdowns..

Your not gonna get better firing coaches after 1 year..what good coach would look at this offensive line personel, look at you firing a coach after one year, then decide this a good job to take?

You don't get better keeping on a poor coach either.

May as well start asap rather than wait 2 years just because of some arbitrary standard

Thats because Manny is running the D. Baker is a position corch at most right now. Look for Baker to be reassigned to LB corch at best next year. If Manny survives this year he will be the Defensive coordinator next year

I don’t think Enos is a “bad coach”..I don’t this his Offense is a “bad offense”. What we run a schematically, geniuses around here have said seems too complex. But call him a bad coach, That’s like saying bill bellicheck was a bad coach at the browns..or y’all love this, Butch Davis is a bad coach at FIU or early at the U..I think Enos main problem is his dealing with a young QB room along with a young oline room and Tryna install a totally new offense then what we ran a year ago. All that was strapped..fact is if Enos/Diaz don’t figure out the oline, they both gonna be gone...but as far as firing coaches after a year..what quality coaches/coordinator would take this job if after one year you fire everyone

A competent coach, with the Boise-State-ish type schedule we have this year, would have had us with 1 loss at worst right now.

The problem isn't any of these assistants or Manny. They are all symptoms. Until the disease that is the administration isn't eradicated this program will never take a step forward.

BLAKE MUST GO.

Well, I think it depends on how you look at it.

Is he a bad coach if he is unable to see that his scheme (which is perfectly fine with a big talented OL) does not work with a poor OL.
Is he a bad coach if he refuses to make changes?

There are plenty of coaches that would take a shot at this job. You may not get the best of the best by firing Enos within one year but Manny would not get any of them anyway.

I get that our offensive players aren’t all world but when they’re spread out they run so much smoother. Enos sold us a “spreadcoast” offense and then didn’t deliver.

Take a player like Tate: this offense could use a leader but in a pro system he’s the worst option. Just like Fields looked bad at UGA but then when you put him in a spread he’s a top 5 QB.

The biggest problem with this team is we can score and we need to change that

If the personel upfront doesn’t get better, the offense won’t sustain success..Enos has what he has upfront..which is ****. So I think it’s naive for fans to expect the offense to be something it can’t be right now..rn it’s about player development upfront..but fans don’t like hearing that. They think u implement a spread and you automatically gonna average 35 points

I'm not sure people expect the offense to become like Oklahoma overnight. But it is perfectly reasonable to expect the offense to improve by changing the scheme to a spread.

Nah 95 percent of the base was lol..they thought we needed a “innovative” offense with different motions, personel groupings, RPOS and formations..well welcome to A NFL multiple offense..but now it’s too complex lol..Idk why the base is so stuck on a spread offense..FSU is running a True True spread rn and their struggles to run the ball abs protect still hold back their talented skill guys

I never got any of that.

Not sure how to quantify 95 percent but i think most would have liked an "innovative" offense with all the sides but i am not sure how it got to be too complex. There is nothing Miami is doing that is too complex.

FSU is FSU's problem but there are tons of teams doing just fine running a spread so why wouldn't fans want that here? It can be any offense but if multiple teams are running something successfully why wouldn't a fan want the same if their O is poor.

Makes sense to me....

Fire after 7 games. Brilliant. 2 solid years before we can see anything. For instance, after ohio state Coker should have been fired because we had a body of work and recruiting to judge him on

Because most the fans clamoring for this n that aren’t looking at the in and outs. The majority of them aren’t taking in consideration personel, how long these teams been running those systems. Etc who was the offensive wizard from bama..how’s he doing at Maryland rn..how’s Briles at FSU..now if you tell me 3-5 years from we have a Michigan problem where they have vet oline, been running the same system and we getting those results, okay. But after 7 games..nah

Firing Baketard was the correct move after CMU. Firing Barry was the correct move after UVA.

fire enos too. we will struggle at OL bc we are playing a ton of young guys and you generally dont play a line that young. we dont know how Barry can recruit as of now, but so far, hes only hit on 3 of his recruits. searles brought in zion and thanks for that. depending on who the new OL caoch, we could be slightly better than we are, but who knows.

defensively, i do trust manny to figure it out. the secondary is an issue this year, so we gotta go out and find any CBs that can play. ivins and lake said theyre likely taking 2 more CBs (frmo anywhere) to pair with clarke. i dont get why they dont play Williams/Couch after we see that ivey is straight trash/lazy. if the secondary play is better, i think well be fine along with having a healthy Nesta. LBs will be in a diff mold than the plodding Shaq Pinck. neitehr are athletic. mccloud is actually the most athletic of the bunch but he just hasnt put it together s ofar
I agree that defense will be better next year but it's criminal at this point that Ivey is playing in favor of Williams/Couch. I really think our linebacker position will be upgraded next year. At minimum we should replace Enos/Barry at seasons end. I have my doubts that Manolo will let go of his buddies on the defense.

3-5 years? if we have to wait that long then he probably isn't worth keeping to begin with...save everyone some time.

But I think fans can look at all the successful coaches for inspiration and not just the few where things may not be working out. I do not think fans are that stupid. Moving to a spread is clearly better than doing the same thing with the same poor results. It may not be perfect but it has to be better...that has already been established.

Hey, real creative question. Be more original next time.

I was just throwing some years out there..I’m always of the belief a coach should get to see his first recruiting class leave unless they are taking over a program that was already rolling..that not the case with us..but if we see drastic regression next year, fir a OC no problem cutting him off
