There are many reasons why Butch makes sense. But the biggest one to me is that if he got the job, he ain't going anywhere! This would be Butch's last gig as a HC! He's not leaving unless fired or death.

Patterson, Schiano, even MC. They would be out of here in 3-4 years top and we'd be looking for a new HC all over again.

Schiano would probably be a lifer, he's pretty much coached himself out of any shot of the NFL again as a head coach. I'd assume the same thing for Chud too.

Cristobal already showed once that he was a snake looking for the next gig, I wouldn't even want him to interview.

Schiano and Chud would leave us for an NFL coordinator position faster than a cat can scratch his butt.

No way would either one of them leave a HC job at Miami to take a coordinator job at the NFL. That's insanity. What coach at a major university would leave an HC job for a coordinator job in the NFL?

Except Paul Chryst was born in Madison, played as Wisconsin and was their offensive coordinator for five years as recently as 2011.

There's a lot more to a Chryst hire then his record at Pitt. He's a guy who Wisconsin feels like won't bolt like their last two coaches did after being successful in Madison.

What ties does Golden have to Wisconsin? Why would Wisconsin want Golden?

What was BC biggest lead? 3? They weren't winning at that FG. It was tied. They might've barely led once or twice. BC coming closer to beating FSU is laughable.

None, did ALbortion have any ties to Miami? Does one need ties to a school to coach there? It is nice that one is familiar with the area but not a necessity.

ALbortion at least played/coached in the Big 10 and he is best fit to remain there. That doesn't mean he is a good fit for Wisconsin or anyone. Just that his style and lack thereof is more suited for the Big 10.

Why would Wisconsin want Golden, not sure. He is a better recruiter than Chryst but that doesn't mean much. Chryst is another ALbortion. He shouldn't be an HC and would be doing Pitt a favor leaving. Pitt should then try to take a risk and hire Justin Fuente (for another thread). As for ALbortion, we know about him. We don't need to compare a **** sandwich to a giant douche.

Perhaps Wisconsin needs to realize that it is difficult to keep someone for a longtime in Madison, Wisconsin. Imagine those winters. Perhaps they should try to hire someone who can win games and have as much success as possible. Concentrate on the now and not the unknown.

Pitt should then try to take a risk and hire Justin Fuente (for another thread).

Assuming Fuente wins his bowl game against BYU this year, and wins the AAC again next season, I think he would be a great candidate to replace Golden. I have concerns about him this season ... Which I assume Pitt would have, as well. So, I doubt he would get their gig if Chryst goes back to Wisconsin.

Pitt would probably get Rod Carey from NIU. Or, if he's not already gone ... I think they might also have an interest in Schiano before they'd get to Golden.
