Keep an eye on Ice Harris for the Miami Jackson spot that just opened up. Now that former #Cane Earl Little has stepped away from the job.

A lot of tradition going way back for the school...I don't think a lot of people know this but Miami high school football has been good going back to the 40s and 50s. Miami high was a juggernaut that used to play some of the best teams from out of state. Miami Jackson (led by Lee corso, I have been told) handed them a loss after an undefeated run of several years.
 
jackson has been decent to good under earl little. theyve made the playoffs and sent kids div 1.

Eduardo Clements coaches there i believe...

its the same area basically as BTW i can see ICE going there....then going to war with BTW for Overtown/Liberty City kids.

He's insinuating that we won't get them because of past failures with Matthew Thomas and Denver Kirkland, possibly Treon. Reality is that Ice couldn't overcome the ineptitude of the previous regime, nor could a lot of State of Miami coaches, so I don't see the necessity of his comment.

So carry on, you're right, just a porst. Let's not feed into it anymore than we have.

Adding to this..Jackson went down when Central came up..its actually crazy..You got 3 schools within a 2-3 mile radius of each other fighting over the kids in Liberty City. (MNW/CEN/MiaJax)...

When Coach Redmond left Jackson for Dillard that was the end of Jacksons run. (top 3 most underrated coach in south florida history. Was a legend in two counties. Had MiaJax and Dillard jumpin..)

Only one lion can rule that jungle. At this point, its CEN. Ice is probably the only coach who can get Jax jumpin again...
 
No excuse for any urban team in Miami Dade to be bad, other than recruiting. (i.e. one or two high schools hoarding all the talent)

I wish we could see more competitiveness. Jackson, Central, Norland, MNW, Booker, etc...should all be good. Same in Broward with Dillard, Ely, BA, Deerfield, etc.
 
Ice shouldn't be upset with the new staff not retaining him, when Golden went they should ALL have been put on notice that the
"Process" wasn't working and a full cleansing was going to occur

Ice will look out for his kids. A ship to THE U is not something he would deny them. Mark cleaned house. When you fire your college roommate who is the ONLY man with all 5 Miami NC rings, you can fie anyone without hard feelings. We should be fine.

Yes and I don't think he is a coach who will or has a record of steering kids to a certain school
