I was asked a question recently

Early season 2009 we were a 6.5 point underdog at Florida State and then a 7.5 point underdog hosting Oklahoma. Both were excellent inspired efforts. I didn't expect to win either game.

Florida State had a weak defense at the end of the Bowden era. But Oklahoma didn't figure to surrender many points. They had plenty of talent despite all the injuries on both sides of the ball. Landry Jones was a competent replacement for Bradford. That Oklahoma team was good enough to defeat a Jim Harbaugh Stanford team in the Sun Bowl, although Stanford played without Andrew Luck.

We were a 3 pt underdog vs UF last year. Not saying much but it means we weren't suppose to win. All you can use is the spread.

The best I remember off the top of my head:

2005 @ VT
2000 vs FSU
1998 vs UCLA

Horrible reply. They were 4-8 and lost to an non FBS school. Try again.

Did I need to word the post a good team???
UF.. we weren't supposed to beat UF.

Dude use some common sense. When we played UF they were at full strength. That was not a game we were "supposed" to win.

Yea they unraveled after and sucked balls but any team with injuries like that would've also. We also weren't supposed to beat Oklahoma under Shannon. Ohio State under Golden. FSU in 2009 under Shannon. There's a few of these games.

UF was not full strength... They had a couple starting olinemen out for our game... Their deep threat in Dubose was out for the year... And Matt Jones just returned from a virus while Driskel was a couple weks removed from an appendectomy... Take into considerstion they lost tgeir two offensive mvps from the previous year in Gilipsie and Reed that squad was far from full strength... And we still strughlled with them... However, so did LSU, UGA and USCe... That was a bad UF squad from the get go... Awesome defense with an NAIA offense... Meyers recruiting was horrible after 08...

Over the last several years, I would say the most enjoyment I have got out of a win were the wins in the current streak against GT. Whether we were supposed to win or not.

Better question is, when is the last time you saw the Canes play with some attitude? Come out of the locker room breathing fire and just overwhelm a team, talk **** and bust ****
