I visited TOS's. It's worst than I thought.

I agree. It's not like Kaaya is on the hot seat or anything, but he needs to get better when it matters. Somebody has got to step up and REFUSE TO LOSE.

He did what he had to, but he wasn't able to finish it out.

When you're forced to play catchup or in a shootout, the QB numbers tend to be good. We had 20 total rushing yards on 19 carries. We abandoned the run as we weren't getting anything on the ground.

So while he had a nice stat line, it doesn't amount to anything. He almost had an interception or two, such is life. The stat line for him, as any stat always, never tells the entire story. I would've gladly traded a hundred or two of his yards for an added 100 yards rushing. The team in this series who rushes for more (they didn't bring it up this game as they usually do unless I missed it) almost always comes out with the win.

kaaya brought us from 17-3 to leading late in the game but we have fans saying he's not a finisher because the defense crapped it away and his OL couldn't give him any time
 
Kayaa's alright. I think he played a good game last Sat. He was brave and took some serious hits. He made some good throws and found open receivers.
FSU actually got smart and stopped blitzing him in the 4th because he was making some really good hot reads. Hence why they started dropping more back into coverage and batting balls down in the 4th. Kayaa did force FSU to change their defense. He is a good player that can become a great one.

Now...if you could give me Dorsey or Kayaa in the 4th quarter for a winning drive...you know who I'm taking. It aint [URL=https://www.canesinsight.com/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=1]#1 5[/URL] . I'd even take Brock Berlin over Kayaa in the clutch. Kayaa still has room to improve, and he is a good player. But right now, dudes not clutch in the 4th. He's had many opportunities to come back and win games in the 4th in the past year and a half. He has yet to do that. The batted balls thing bothers me too. How does a 6'4" QB get so many batted down? You need to stare down receivers for D-Linemen to block so many. I don't know.

Criticism aside though, Kayaa is the least of my worries in the Hurricanes offense. I am more concerned with: #1 Playcalling #2 Offensive line play #3 Receiver route running and separation (or lack thereof) #4 Running back talent (Duke Johnson would have ran for more than Yearby guaranteed)

Blaming Brad for calling a bubble screen to the far hash, or flexing Dobard out like he is Jimmy Graham, or not calling slants or crosses over the middle....the list goes on. Under pressure, he does get a little sloppy in his mechanics (e.g. throws off his back foot), but his decision making and ability to go through progressions when he has time is quite good. He is succeeding despite the average offensive line, bad coaching and play calling.

I guess that whole "don't trash the players" philosophy goes out the window when it doesn't suit an agenda. ******' kid played his balls off with no help from the run game or OL, but he didn't win the game, so he's merely an ok QB.

the cult of Golden/D'Onofrio/James is so strong it's ******* sickening. a large portion of the fanbase has pledged their allegiance to these weirdos rather than support the players and the program itself.

Kaaya single handedly kept us in that game. He threw for 404 yards, 3 TDs and no INTs despite playing behind an awful o-line and getting no support from the running game. Anyone blaming him for the loss is a fool.

Support the program by spending money the bots will continue to ignore the issue . They only care about money
