So being deployed has allowed me to pay off some debt and save money. I've been disciplined for 6 months and then WHAM! drop over 1k on cane gear. I mean everything from jerseys to basketball shorts. From the adidas 3/4 jacket that CMR had on to Cane flags and a mailbox. Also bought a game work uni and a helmet. Does anyone else splurge on Cane gear in spurts?

Stationed at Ft dix/Mcguire AFB New Jersey , been in 5 years 7 Sep...deployed northern Iraq at the moment.

what do you NEED vs what do you WANT?

It so easy to spend deployment/career field/re-enlistment $$$ (hard earned and well deserved btw) without thinking about that key question.

You don't need to live like a monk for sure...but think about this...

Can you eat/use all that Cane gear when you are 60?

I do it even when I'm in country so you don't have a problem!!! You on a ship or land?
