I know we had all those 1st rounders but

Vilfork
Reed
Johnson

Those guys will get in IMO.

Portis wasnt able to sustain the success he had early in his career long enough, but was a **** good pro.

I love Dre (no homo) but why is he a lock ? Being somewhat of a texans fan I watch him every game the texans play and I just don't see why he'd be a lock

I dunno what your seeing, Dre was the best in the league til Calvin came along and even then he was still one of the best 2 or 3 WRs. All with QBs that were ***

What I don't see are seasons/season with double digit TDs..

I mean two guys making the hall is an accomplishment. But those teams have at least 5 legitimate shots at the hall. The number of award winners and game changers is what separates them.

Locks

Andre Johnson
Vince Wilfork
Ed Reed
Devin Hester
Frank Gore
Reggie Wayne
Sean Taylor

I could see Edge going either way, don't think Willis gets in

No offense but Taylor isn't even close. I'm the biggest Taylor fan but he didn't play even close to long enough. Gore isn't a lock. Him and Edge will always be in the Hall of Very Good. The rest I agree with. Wilfork has being on the NFLs darling team, the Patriots working for him so he might get in.

You can't forget Wayne. He has had the most consistent career of the bunch.

The best QB hes had was Matt Schaub and he had to work David Carr. It's not his fault he was the best player for a upstart franchise.

2nd all time in receiving YPG
most seasons with 100+ receptions and 1400 yards
most seasons with 100+ receptions
12th all time in receiving yards
10th all time in receptions

Where he falls is that he's 60th all time in receiving TD's. Still, his other stats, combined with being the best player in a franchises history, will get him in IMO. Probably not first ballot but he will get in eventually.

From the 2001 team the only stone cold lock in Reed. Wilfork and Johnson are next, and Gore has a shot too.

Vilfork and Gore are not locks

Gore will get in before Vince does but both are gunna make it. Vince was a all pro NT for like 10 years lol

I am a huge Pats fan and Vince hasn't been dominate since 2007. He has been a solid starter since. His whole career he has been top 5 at his position. Just don't think its enough. And he only has 1 ring and it was during his rookie season.

Did you just start watching him at the end of his career, codpiece, or did you also see him while he was dominating the league for 10 years?

I'm just being a Homer with ST, we all know he was headed there.

That's why I started this thread.

Some schools are lucky to have a couple of players in the hall for the entire program existence.
We are talking about a 3 year span at 1 school.
That is insane!

Reed is the only lock, Wilfork and Hester highly likely. After that I think James and Gore are 50/50, and Wayne and AJ a little less than that. If AJ had played for the Colts, he'd be a shoe in. The other guys have no shot.
