TBH there was a large, vocal segment of fans that weren’t glad our staff stayed on him. Said we were wasting resources, getting played etc. While some of us were saying if there’s a chance then you fight to the bitter end.

Huge win for Diaz and Banda.

Of course the greatest NFL safety of all time factored into this.

This is the biggest recruiting victory over the last decade plus.

Manny and staff deserve a ton of credit. He continues to be a hall of fame offseason coach. Can he learn from his terrible head coaching in year 1 to put together a solid product on the field for year 2? If he does, he'll ride into year 3 with a ton of momentum (given how good he is with offseasons).

In a case like this, where was the harm in trying? I don't get that at all. If you DON'T try, you have no chance. It's not like we were missing out on someone else by going after him.

I think some people are just so anti-Manny they will be critical of anything he does, or doesn't do. I get that. I hated everything he did during the season last year. I just can't hate on him for going after a top player.

This is great news.

It wasn’t a flip lol..but this is exactly why you keep recruiting a kid unless he absolutely says no..no doubt the Ed Reed move was a positive but hats go off to manny and staff for keeping the full court press on and staying after it

Alot of those guys dont understand recruiting and get emotional and all if he wasnt born arange and green I dont want him, give me 11 jimmy murphy's, until the games starts.
