As well, the 49ers were winning the game when he broke it out. If I recall, we are awesome at celebrating while losing. The turnover chain was a nice gimmick, when you win. When you lose it is shameful. We lose a lot.

IIRC, he actually said it was someone else's idea at one point.

I've had seriously mixed feelings about it, but seeing how happy it made Avantae Williams, made me decide to be neutral.

Other teams had turnover props before we did. His spin on it was inspired, it reflected Miami as a cultural entity well. It made for great TV. It was way better than the other turnover props. He utilized the portal pretty well. He recruited some very good players the past two years. That's it. The new coach has two very good QBs, 2 good running backs, a young decent corps of receivers, strong safeties. That's about it.

The Bad: He failed to recruit our needs well. The TD rings was beyond dumb. He favored seniority over talent. He didn't prepare well for games, his didn't coach well in games. He lost too many games.

Manny did not start the gimmick bs on the sidelines. VT had the lunch pail a good ten years before the chain. Sure there are others also. The chain was flashy and created a lot more attention when he did start that.
