I never post on these forums, as I usually read everyone's posts. I am so tired of watching these teams lose. Losing to Duke is absolutely inexcusable. I don't care how good they are. Who goes to Duke unless they are playing basketball? I am so sick of watching teams gash us with the same play over and over without any sort of adjustment. If we do not have a new defensive coordinator next year, I will turn in my fan card. I have been a loyal fan since 1987, but this is absolutely pathetic. I would rather quit watching college football all together. My house is a University of Miami shrine. I can take the loss to Florida State and Virginia Tech, but Duke. Give me an f****** break. How is it we make all the opposing teams look like national title contenders? If Donofrio doesn't go, then Golden and all of his staff should.

Spot on. I am a proud alumnus of this program and I have reached my breaking point. It was anger under Shannon, but it's just apathy now, and that's a bad sign.

Agreed on all counts. No more excuses. Bottom line, if D'nofrio isn't zipped by Golden in the offseason, then Golden is the real problem. If he stays, we're in for another 2 years of mediocrity minimum-- and then Golden finally gets kicked to the curb and we begin AGAIN.

There is zero room for "friendship" in these situations. Jimmy Johnson said, at the end of each year-- you ruthlessly evaluate your coaching staff, and YOU MAKE CHANGES. You want a friend, get a dog. You can't keep carrying this guy!

I've reserved judgment on Golden, and still think he has some promise, but this offseason will be telling. I'm of the mind he may need to go down with the ship.
