Flowers ain't projected to go in the first 2 rounds of any mock drafts. He's been injured. Staying another season would improve his stock because more media attention will be on Kaaya next season. More attention on the QB equals more attention on who's blocking for him.

Same with Duke. Everybody think he's gone because he's having a great season and should get the money rather than chance getting injured. But he also at the moment is not projected to go in the first 2 rounds. This is his first season after a major injury and he will top 1500 yards. The sky would be the limit next season with a year removed from the injury, more national exposure, better opportunities because you can't key in on him because everybody will know then that Kaaya is a beast. So he should exceed everything that he did this year. After back to back 1500 yards plus seasons, Heisman consideration, no Gurley or Gordon...how could he not be considered a first round lock.

I think it would benefit both to come back. If they do come back.. #CoastalChampsForSure

That's the main reason why it's highly likely that he's gone, rb shelf life. But at the same time, Duke's love for the U would leave me to believe that it would be really hard for him to leave, if we're hyped to be great next season. The chance to be part of the U's return to dominance would be hard for him to pass up. And 3 straight wins would give us that hype.

I love Duke, it would be too much pain to see him get hurt coming back. After Melvin, I blame no RB for leaving early. Short NFL life and lower values make it even more important. Duke isn't going 1st round next year either. RBs rarely do that now. If he come back, I will lite candles for him and pray each week. Kid is just great.

Flowers is a different case. OTs have long careers and he started as true freshman. A 4th year gives him chance to become more full grown man and could get him into 1st round. I grew up in Norland area and if this kids wants to get him some $$$, I am fine with it. BUT, 1st round OTs get fat check and long looks in NFL. Probably best for him to stay another. That said, dude hurt his knee, had surgery and then played Saturday-- that is NFL tough already. I don't follow draft, but maybe it should depend on how many OTs are in front of him this year. But OP is right about one thing, keeping Kaaya clean again next year will get Flowers in a lot of draft film.

LULZ at the infantile threads on this board. Gotta make some rules when it comes to the ability to start threads.

Both of those guys would have left as freshman if they could have.

They should want to come back to keep their promise

They said they would bring the U back. ANd next year we would be a very good team with them coming back

Both need to come back..Duke wont get more than 12 carries in the league regardless, his shelf life really doesnt matter

Flowers will be a really good LT but staying another year and grabbing more wins wont hurt his stock

Plus Duke seems to be the type of kid who wants to finish what he started so getting a degree and playing for an ACC title would be key for him

Plus dude cant be considered as the best Cane until he beats FSU..atleast a Top tier type team

Both Flowers and Duke should leave. They need to get that clock started on the 2nd NFL contract. The one that players make most of their money on.

Since everyone is so banner crazy, why not a banner for Duke et al. to stay?

Why would someone pay for a banner to give these kids the worst possible advice?

Because these are selfish ******** who don't give a **** about the kids at all. They are fans of the coach, not the kids.

If they were fans of the kids or the program, the names Melvin Bratton, Frank Gore, Willis McGahee, and even Graig ******* Cooper might ring a bell. All guys who blew their knees out, attenuating their pay day to varying degrees.

Both are gone and rightly so. Injuries happen all the time... They are going to make some great coin and I'm super happy for them!

We will be fine at both positions...

Dukes gone no doubt, as he should be. Flowers might follow as well but another year for him could make him a 1st rounder but then again after shutting down the F$U line on a bummed knee definitely raised his stock.

Have heard that both made their minds up to leave before the season even started. As far as Duke is concerned it makes a LOT of sense. He is a running back, nothing he can do next year will get his draft status any higher. For RBs like him it´s all about the second contract...the sooner he gets the clock running on that, the more he can earn over the course of his career.

Would love to see him playing for us next season, but I love Duke and thing he has to make the right decision and go pro.
