I'm new to this site and have been addicted to it since I found it. I love all the different opinions and I'm sure I'll get ridiculed or down voted but I can't believe some people are actually ****ed over this hire... WTF??? I was all about BBB but I love this hire, how can you be ****ed after the last three coaches we've had??? This is by far an upgrade and the best coach we've had since Butch. I can't wait to see who he brings on the staff and how this recruiting season goes.. I feel like we should all be happier than we've been in 15 years.. Very excited to see the on field product!! #GoCanes

I was on the Butch train but see nothing wrong with this hire at all. Looking at the others available and that were interested in this job, I think we got the best one out there. But still dreaming Butch would come as D coordinator. If that announcement was made, this place would be rocking!
 
I never understood the butch crowd but wouldn't have minded if he got hired.

Richt was the clear choice and I'm glad we got the best available coach in tbe nation
 
Welcome, you obviously are new. You should have seen the hissy fits being thrown when al allegedly talked to PSU.

Can I get an Amen!! Mark is the best hire we SHOULD have expected-- maybe better than what we should have expected. That said, Butch as the right hire, IF you wanted to return to greatness.
 
As an aside, can we stop calling him "Mark"? We aren't his personal friends, and it reminds me of the soon to be former D coordinator. And I really don't need that.

Im not seeing many folks "****ed" about this hire. There is some level of disappointment, but that is certainly acceptable.

I, myself feel that UM once again put public relations above all else when choosing Mark Richt. For that reason I have *some* level of disappointment. That said, we all know they could have done A LOT worse.
