CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that Miami has hired Hurlie Brown as its running backs coach.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the university is still finalizing certain aspects of the deal, which is expected to be announced early this week. Brown replaces Terry Richardson, who left the Hurricanes last week for a job with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

One thing that gives me comfort is that Al has been able to work with a supervise Hurley. If he promotes him, then that means Al has been very impressed with his work.
