Yeah , Merritt Island has put out some football talent over the years. Leon Bright was probably the first guy from MI to make it to the NFL. Bubba McDowell, Darryl Spencer, Hurley Brown and Eric Ham are dudes that went to the U. With Eric arguably being the best of the bunch but he got hurt at the U right away. Derek Brown, Derrick Ham and Joe Kolhbrand misspelled his last name also played in the NFL. Once upon a time Merritt Island was a powerhouse with a couple of state titles under their belt.
