How in the world did they attend 2 of the best private schools in South Florida and not meet the requirements to qualify?

Chaminade and STA rarely, if ever, have students struggle to qualify.

On a positive note, this gives Avery and Cameron time to develop physically and mentally. Hopefully, both will be contributers next season.

Didn’t read that Cam was academically ineligible but with our DE depth it’s irrelevant anyway

Huff and Williams will both be academic redshirts this year.

I remember it being mentioned that Huff was at Mcarthur before attending STA. Doesn't STA vet the credits of their transfers though to ensure they're in right grade and a candidate for the school.

Never even heard of an academic redshirt. Hasn't it always been that if you don't get cleared you can't enroll? Thus the need to go to JUCO. Please clarify.

Huff was on the sidelines without pads.

Academic redshirts happen all the time. It’s means you are a partial qualifier. Spend 2 semesters on campus and pass the courses and you become a full qualifier
