I am just wondering as we sit on the precipice of history with our 5th straight loss possible this weekend, how many straight losses will it take to end the Mark Richt experiment?
We believe even if he loses out the last 2 games and fails to go bowling that he is supposedly still around, right? So we are at six straight at that point. 5 is more losses in a row than Mark Richt has ever had since before his college playing days for sure, not sure about Boca days. So how many before they pull the plug? Does he have to go 0-12 next year? Does he keep getting credit for figuring out how to beat Savannah State?
So we are at an impasse, a Board of Trustees that can't see the situation for what it is and a head coach that is calling the same plays he called 20 years ago and does not know why it does not still work. So I guess we have a better chance of Mark Richt calling it quits before the BOT steps up, which shows us our real problem is the BOT and not just Mark Richt.
So how many games in a row would Richt have to lose before he hung it up??? How many would shame him into quitting, or would he ever be embarrassed enough to not cash the check? The guy will make $800K per win this year, only coaches taking over programs in their first year could possibly have a worse ratio. He has 2 wins in conference over arguably the worst 2 teams in the conference. This could not be any clearer to figure out than why Bama wins and our BOT will sit while they burn down the program one more time.
The good news is know we can win and get the excitement back, the fans are hungry for it and the talent does come back if you just give them hope, now we just need to give them a real coach.
