How good is Jameis Winston?

what is your honest assessment of him? I have read ridiculous statements like andrew luck type NFL prospect, or best CFB QB ever, really absurd.

Me personally? Maybe I'm hating but I don't see the NFL potential. He has a super long delivery, his deep balls are ducks, and when pressured he's proven time and time to make bad decisions.

A lot of his success last year came with having an elite defense, along with his freak WR, and a ton of checkdowns and short yardage plays that went long.

He's one of the best Ive seen in CFB. he would be an exceptional pro, but hes damaged mentally. I expect him to have a Vince Young type career and bankrupt within 6 years.
 
Off the field - Despicable human being. No life skills

On the field - Fantastic QB and an exceptional baseball player
 
He should play baseball. People go crazy about these checks he does before the line, but if you go back and watch so much of their offense is based on single reads. Jimbo is just great at what he does and really sets him up for success.

His arm strength is great, but I don't know if he can process things quickly enough to handle an nfl offense.

Off the field he's an idiot. But on the field, as much as i dislike his off field antics, he's a great player. When the run game isn't there, the oline is getting abused, and the d is sending blitz after blitz he makes plays. Last year i agree the talent around him carried the offense more than he did, but this year is all him. I think they're a 3-4 loss team without him this year. Next year will be interesting to see how good of a coach jimbo is.
 
I think last year he was great. This year good, but not great. But, I have to say, for him to keep his head for the most part in games, remarkable, considering the off the field media assault on him. Working with such an inexperienced receiving corp besides Greene, he has had his hands full. Shown moments of brilliance, and moments I am sure he would like to forget.

I think they won the Orange Bowl with EJ Manuel as QB prior to Winston. I think Jimbo will have them rolling again. Whether Winston comes back or not next year.
 
I hate him as a person. But if i had to go down the field and score a touchdown with 2 min left, theres no qb i would want more.

100%, he is breath taking when it come to football, he has never lost..........think about that. when the situation is bleak he is at his best. that will hopefully change tomorrow. he reminds me of big ben the most but i think he will end up washing out in the nfl.

He is a very good college QB, but no Andrew Luck, not at all. Luck came with almost not risks. Rapist has many both on and off field. In college he is like man playing with boys and looks exceptional. In NFL, he will be ill-tempered, spoiled brat playing amongst menfolk who will really enjoy teaching him lesson. Will go in 1st round because, well look at the QBs who go in 1st round nowadays. Well run teams will probably avoid him. Desperate teams will grab him--they have less to lose. **** does have talent and has not lost a game yet. BUT he could well have done tremendous damage to FSU in the process(well deserved because they as as big of scumbags as him.). In the end, Luck ends up in Hall of Fame; Rapist ends up in cell block.
 
Ive never met the kid other than the things they put on espn so i wont call the kid a horrible human being for bb guns and crablegs and what seems to be a cleat chaser cash out attempt...ive heard he is super smart on the field which is all the league really cares about and can make throws most cant placement wise...scouts feel he is on lucks level and easily the best since luck left cfb
