These are just my opinions.

Honestly, I was disappointed with the Manny hire but after thinking it over I technically got what I wanted. I wanted a smart guy, someone who was willing to adapt and change if need be. Someone who didn't just ignore problems that needed fixing like the last 2 HCs did. People were clamoring for an offensive minded coach really because the offense had been boring but I don't think that would the smart thing to do. Hiring a HC to fix 1 side of the ball usually never works. Dolphins fans on here should be able to attest to that because we've been hiring "QB gurus" to fix Ryan Tannehill and it has gotten us no where.

Ways I think Manny can successful is by: (Not in order)

1) Recruiting. I get Manny is a solve-with-scheme kind of guy but just having a good scheme in place won't do you any good against Clemson, Alabama or any other team, like a Wisconsin, who just play straight up smash mouth football. It just won't. You need guys up front who can make plays while also having the physical potential to not get pushed around by Clemson if we play them in the ACCCG.

2) Our identity needs to be first and foremost, P-H-Y-S-I-C-A-L. Not explosive, not fast, or gimmicky, PHYSICAL. PERIOD, I am sick and tired of watching this team who every off-season claims how much faster and stronger they've gotten and look as a team then fold against team who play a smash mouth brand of football. We need to hire a new S&C coach and program. I'll get to this in another ranking.

3) Fire Searels, Richt Jr., and Gus. These 3 men are in IMPORTANT positions and they aren't meeting the standard. We played LSU, we got manhandled physically. We played BC, who has the identity of being a physical team despite being limited, and got man handled. We played Wisconsin and in back to back bowl games and they whipped us up front. Gus needs to go. Manny you've been all over the got **** map I'm sure you can find someone better then Gus to be our S&C coach.

Searels is a journeymen coach for a reason. Good OL coaches don't end up all over the map. This guy sucks just look at everywhere he has been. Everywhere Searels has gone the offense takes a nosedive and it always end up having something to do with how bad Searel's unit was Texas, VT, Georgia doesn't matter. Manny you aren't winning anything with this guy coaching the OL. PERIOD. Richt Jr. Do I even have to say? Just look at production and development from the QBs this year.

4) Recruiting Philosophy. I've had enough of this all or nothing on SFL in recruiting. Yes we need to recruit SFL but we need to cast a wider net NATIONALLY. We have to stop with SFL making or breaking our recruiting classes. People think selling Miami to Miami kids is enough to get them to come. Your telling me if we went to 4 star players in PA, GA, NJ or TX kids wouldn't be interested in playing in Miami? THAT is where our location has it's advantage. I've been saying it for a while, we need a stronghold in Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, and the North east. Stop relying on Florida OL and QB when Texas and Georgia produces QBs and OL the way FL produces WRs and DBs. Year after year we take these Florida QBs and OL then wonder why our OL and QB room stinks. It like going to Nebraska to get WRs.

5) Offense. We need to run something that resembles this generation of offense. No, not some 1989 Canes offense from the glory days or Richt's 1993 pro style half baked read option offense. WE NEED an offense that actually looks like it from 2019 that looks for every possible match-up advantage. I don't want some old fart running his "SEC or pro style" offense.

Go get me a OC/QB who can actually find QB talent. I don't care about my OC/QB coach being some elite recruiter because most 5 and even 4 star QB don't pan out. Look at where some of these top college QB come from. Half the time they are 3 stars lightly recruited guys. Let's just make sure we know which one is Baker Mayfield and which one is Malik Rosier.

6) ST Coach. Assuming we do steps 3 and 5, Firing Richt Jr. and Hiring a OC/QB type of coach, then we need to use this last coaching spot on a special teams coach assuming we keep Hartley. I didn't believe in hiring a ST coach but after these 2 years we need one, bad. Awful kicker/punter recruiting couple that with poor punt and FG protection, then the coverage team is a mess in punt and kickoff coverage. We are terrible in EVERY part of special teams one team can be.
