The future interest in UM from the SEC or B1G drops with each horrendous loss. And, the ever-sparser attendance. We should be thrilled that GOR is in place keeping us afloat in the ACC.

It's his own fault. Those are his coordinators and his offense and defense philosophy. I know he didn't inherit all world talent, but he did inherit enough talent to win the Coastal and get to a good bowl game. Come into 2023 with a solid and improved team. Unfortunately, he decided to scrap the up tempo, quick pass offensive system which was the strength of the team and bring in much more complex one. It's clearly not working. Yeah, I know Gattis has gone with a more traditional spread the last few games for some of the offense (it has worked to some extent), but its too little, too late. Maybe next year, he implements the offense that suits our player's strengths early in the offseason.

Agree. Despite the fact that lots posters rant about how bad so many of our players are, I am 100% convinced that “man for man” neither the Duke starters nor the MidTenState starters have anywhere the raw talent that our starters have. Yet those less talented players whipped our *** big time. Your classifying our group of coaches and players as a “dysfunctional group” is an apt description and hits the proverbial nail on the head.

I was at both games when Mario won his Natty‘s as a player, but Mario has to learn that this is not 1989 or 1991. The game has changed, and not just a little. Hopefully Mario has the basic intelligence and ability to recognize that for whatever reason, his coaching staff and players are without doubt a dysfunctional group, and if they keep doing the same things over and over and expect a different result, they are doomed to failure.

I'm not angry at Mario. He is turning out to be who I'd thought he'd be. I'm far angrier at the rich pricks that threatened to cut off any financial contributions if UM didn't hire Mario. They succeeded and got their boy set up with a big fat lifetime contract. Now they need to put their money where their mouth is and start handing out monster NIL deals to recruits.
 
Mario isn’t an X’s & O’s guy, he’s a recruiter. Let him get his guys in and hire the staff to coach.

He need a good Assistant HC to help with in game adjustments tho
