How bad was our defense at the end of the season

Not entirely true. DJ’s problem is his bad was REALLY bad this year. But against us, his passer rating was 134.3. He had a higher rating against:
Louisville
FSU
BC
NC State
Wake
LA Tech
Furman
So it’s not like he was horrific against everyone and Superman against us. It just seemed like it because like I said, when he sucks he REALLY sucks. He either plays pretty well or absolutely terrible. There are very few average games for him.

End of the season? This team gave up 45 to MTSU. A feat only tenn state and fau allowed this season.
We gave up over 40 ppg in all of our home games after MTSU.
The pass defense was the worst I have ever seen at Miami.

Our D has been making bad QB's look like Heisman Candidates for years.... Why would this past year be any different?? 6 Years of Manny recruiting and "Developing" showed it's colors... Mario is doing what he can to change over the talent and hopefully get the Coaching part up to par as well...
I want to agree with you. They played hard, but still gave up 450 yards and couldn't stop Clemson on 3rd down. Clemson was 14-19 on 3rd down. Clemson's basic offense beat our basic defense. Was frustrating to watch.

Clemson took it easy midway... they were bored and playing with their food.

I understand. All I was implying was how they played hard, played their asses as opposed to what we witnessed in other games. With any offense, Miami could have been right in that game

They didn't take it easy midway, its ok to say the defense played hard in this particular game because they did. Took the ball way a few times and gave the team a chance.

Only reason we aren’t going after our defense as much is because our offense was so bad it is hard to gauge how our defense really played.

at this rate I just would like someone who's energetic and knows that college football has changed over the last 10 years.
having a 60+ year old coordinator just doesn't seem to make too much sense when our HC is all about grinding and working / recruiting non stop

The 38 yr old we have as the other coordinator isn’t doing any better…Not about age it’s about philosophy and being able to teach it to 19-20 yr old kids..
