Homefield Advantage

Everyone said Ross was an idiot until we started winning at Hard Rock.
Now it's a great stadium all of a sudden.
Maybe Ross should get some credit. He did upgrade the stadium out of his own ****ing pocket.

Ross is still an idiot. NFL put the screws to him - he had no choice but to update it if he wanted to be considered for superbowls. He’s one of the worst owners in the nfl

OR he could have said ***** hosting Super Bowls since there was no public money coming his way. Instead, he spent half a billion (yes, with a b) of his own money. Has the guy screwed up hires of front office personnel and coaches over the years, absolutely. However, he should get props for updating the facility as he has done.

Yes, he should get credit for investing in his own business. Kudos for him for improving his own bottom line and contributing to the public coffers by paying his taxes.

I mean that's the way you're supposed to pay

I had season tickets for a little while when I was living in miami, 2010-2014 and I never thought ever in my life that that stadium could move the way it did last night. Do yourselves a favor and go to a game, that was the best experience I've ever had there by a long shot. Voice is shot to **** and my ears are still ringing

Drove down from Orlando for the second time this season... as I said before, this is one of the best stadiums in college football... can't beat the sightlines, fan experience. If you haven't been there, it is worth it ... go for a game. I am from Orlando and I am hooked. Well worth the 7 hour round trip drive.
It is better than any on-campus stadium we could have built. The food, the facilities, tailgating ...everything is great
Huge home crowd advantage. Just the acoustics, with the roof reminds me of the Seattle Seahawks stadium...

Live in Orlando too & and been a couple of times (once since the full renovation). Agreed, the place is amazing. I expected a lot and it was better.

The renovations made a big difference. I like the place now more than I ever thought I would.

The renovation that really mattered was firing that sweaty oaf poser and replacing him with a pro.

Win in Miami, and you will get support. Our problem was never the venue. We play in probably the nicest stadium in college football.

Ross has no idea how to build a winning football franchise... but he absolutely knows how to build and renovate a football stadium. Hard Rock looks and sounds fantastic. It's unique in college sports, and it gives us a big home field advantage when it's even 60% full.

Didn't most of that renovation money come from the deal with hard Rock? And the NFL making Miami upgrade?

Not giving Ross a hard time or diminishing his impact, just that's what I heard

All true about coaching, winning and support. But to me the structural changes in the stadium made a big visual and acoustic difference. Now it feels more intimate and is loud and intense. Before, even in games like beating UF in 2013 it just felt so big and open like no amount of yelling could create the environment we needed. It's just great to know that now we have the important pieces in place (IPF coming soon) to build the program back. Even with the distance, the home stadium environment is something we can legitimately show as an advantage to recruits, not something we have to make excuses for.
FSU recruiter: "you really wanna go down there where they have no fans?"
Player remembers: "Hard Rock was louder than it is at Doak"
