It's absolutely heartbreaking but we almost did what most people thought was impossible. People didn't even think we belonged in the playoffs and we showed out and smacked 3 teams everyone thought we would lose too. It was the same thing tonight and we were one drive away from winning it all! Hats of to Mario, without him we wouldn't be here. Nothing to do but let it sting for a few days and get back to work for next season! Keep your heads up Canes fam.

What a team, what a coach, what a run. I’m grateful for the ride and I’ve never been prouder of a team. I’ve been around since ‘83, and this team could be my favorite ever. We also have our coach for at least a decade.

Mario will probably be drinking cafecitos and working before 6 a.m. tomorrow. Love the guy.
