Hiring staff?

Anybody know if he can even hire staff right now, when there is already a staff in place? Isnt there a qty cap on team staff?

There is a cap on the amount of staff you can have recruiting

There is a cap on number of ***'t coaches, but he can 'hire' someone with a start date in futuro. In other words, they can sign a contract with, say, a January 2 start date.

He will likely hold off until after the bowl game. You want the kids to look good in the bowl game to add to the positive vibe going into the offseason. If he hires assistants now, it possibly means the guy already on staff is out and he is not going to put an effort forward and may even recruit against Miami as he expects to be gone, unless of course the coach he is bringing in is too good to wait for.

Good news is, our bowl game will be before New Years, so we could find out who in January
