First of all, these past two games do not change the fact that this season is a success. When we get this late into the season, with this record, **** yeah I wanted to go to the playoff. But with a new years six bowl still on the horizon, I'm not on that bytching stuff some on here are on. All the fire richt and fly the banner mofos gtfoh. Richt is a good coach that has put this program back to relevancy and is doing it with some players that will not have such roles when this 18 class comes in. This loss was embarrassing as ****, but everyone just sit back and look at the big picture. We're not there yet talent wise with a lot of other playoff contending teams, but it is coming. Loss hurts, but I'm expecting us to be on the other side of games like this in the very near future.

Now that I have that out of the way, Mark richt needs an offensive coordinator immediately. This bland, unimaginative offense is not championship caliber. We've seen the same thing all season and the only times we've actually seen one ounce of creativity,is in a game of magnitude. College football does not work like that and it hasn't for a long time. You cant expect to out talent teams, then bring the real heat for the big boys, other teams want to win too you know. For an offense the goal should be the same every week, put as many points on the board as possible. Don't come out of the gate with repetitive calls that the opponent has game planned for all week. It's been too many examples of inside zone into a wall of defenders, incomplete pass, and long third downs to start games. All that does is give opponents confidence and wear our own defense out as the game progresses. Ahmmon has not been healthy for the whole season, but with him, Harley, and Thomas, that's 3 receivers all sub 4.4. Instead of bubbles to these guys, I have seen Langham and dayall harris catch more of them. Have to spread the ball around to keep a D on their heels, but it isn't an excuse to not at least try to give them the ball. We have thrown 50/50 balls to Harley and Thomas on multiple occasions and that is baffling. Time management has been an issue in multiple games also. Instead of attacking teams before the half and getting momentum, he simply chooses to walk into halftime satisfied with mediocre halfs of offense. His son is getting paid to coach QB's, and its not being earned. A feel of the pocket is a trait only some QB's have, but it isn't hard to tell a guy who is 6'0 to actually utilize throwing lanes. Ball placement is another issue that is concerning and its not new. Even Kaaya who is 10x the thrower malik is, had the same issues when it came to deep balls. I'm not going to get on rosier because he is who we thought he was, certain games don't change that. He's been clutch and is as tough as they come, but he is not good and its not a surprise. All in all, these are things coordinators are supposed to have locked in. Having weapons is only half the battle, it is how you use them that determines ball games. We need Mark Helfrich, PERIOD.If not him, there are names out there that will get this offense going. Hire him, give him the keys to the offense, and hope Perry is our guy.

Next, our offense hasn't even been the biggest issue this season, Special teams have been really bad. Feagles is not good at all and shouldn't be on this team, don't even have to get into that. Kickoff return has been the dark spot on this team the past two seasons. Issues with blocking, penalties, and overall awareness have plagued us on this unit. No threat of a big play at all. Lastly, can we get a someone that can kick it out of the endzone on kickoffs. Tired of seeing badgley kick it inside the 10 and the returner get past the 25-30 with ease. Its teams out here not even allowing other teams to touch the ball on kickoffs and I want that. We need an experienced special teams coordinator who doesn't play about that phase of the game and Hartley isn't that, he has to go.

I am a Mark Richt believer, but he has to show me something this offseason. If his goal was to come here and turn us into UGA, then we can continue down this road. But if he came here to win championships, coaching staff adjustments must be made. Get an OC and a special teams coordinator and show me you want rings. We will have the horses very soon and the coaching has to be at that level also. Number 6 is coming, I genuinely believe so. There are just a few cracks that need to be filled and its up to richt to do just that.

As long as we make safe, uinspired hires that are more focused on good guys than savage coaches, we will be down.

How do we know the offensive system isn't championship caliber? I saw a lot of creativity and well designed plays tonight.

Richt is also aggressive in big games (again tonight he was - 1st play we move pocket and take a shot).

Until we have a QB I reserve judgement.

I really think his playcalling will improve when we have real Miami talent out there in the future with Perry,Lingard, pope, etc. But I just don’t think he can fix that killer instinct, Really putting your foot on the gas. We have games where us fans just want to blow the team out, it’s right there and he just holds up.As a playcaller, he’s really tentative even when having momentum.
