An article in The Palm Beach Post reveals that Florida high school football coaches are leaving for Georgia. Reasons being better pay and lower living expenses. You wonder why the quality of football and the quantity of quality players have improved in Georgia in recent years. Florida is lagging. Soon will negatively impact recruiting in the sunshine state.

It’s not only football coaches leaving.
Plenty of healthcare workers bouncing too. If they don’t control the ridiculous increases in property tax, homeowners insurance, and association fees; there will be a mass exodus from this state.

It’s every profession my man.
When sofla doctors start leaving to central and north Florida and the cities surrounding Atlanta, then you know that there is a problem with cost of living down here.

That building in the back right at an angle is an athletics building. There are less than 2,000 kids at that high school and now that the new stadium is built the whole place looks like a college.

A lot my doctors and NPs here (edit: here meaning Atlanta area) are already from UM, UF, and USF. Been that way for 10 years.

Atlanta is very underrated for medical care. I have an incredible team of doctors here.

Well when you have high school facilities like this in Georgia it is not hard to see Florida high school coaches are flocking to GA. Shout out to coach Jess Simpson ( he was a beast at Miami and legendary Georgia HS head coach for Buford).

Buford High School's new $62M stadium.

It’s not just cost of living or facilities but the coaches get paid more there too. Combined with the lower cost of living and your quality of life is better. Provided you like the area

On August 14th, ESPN will be showing the Buford v Milton game. Milton won the last two state championships with a QB named Luke Nickel that some of you may have heard of…
It will be interesting to see how Milton performs this year. If I'm remembering correctly, I think they had a QB from Aquinas transfer in this year.

On top of the fact that I've seen mentioned here being the coach is only part of the job. Most of the coaches in FL are teachers by day and coach after school. Places like GA, TX, CA etc, most of the head coaches, that IS their day job as well. They have not only more resources but significantly more time to put into their teams. There's a reason kids coming out of those places are more college ready than ever now.

I played on something similar in my hay day. Without ever seeing it irl, this tells me Northwestern is in the trenches.
northwestern is the heart of the trenches. its bordered or pulls kids from their boundary of like 3-4 of the most violent area of the entire state maybe nation
