Here's your heisman finalists. .

Cook and Fournette not being finalists is a big snub. The Cook thing i can understand to a point given the offseason issues and the fact he sat out 1 game due to injury. But still, Fournette was #1 in YPG this year and Cook was #3 (with Henry #2 ). If you look closer at the top 5, Henry and McCaffrey were only #4 and #5 in terms of yards per carry. There have been many times in the past with 4 or 5 finalists, so the snubs don't make a whole lot of sense UNLESS they are heavily counting wins/losses and team ranking against these guys. Baker Mayfield was also a serious snub.....starting QB on playoff team with 3400 passing yards, 35 TD (only 5 INT) with 420 rushing yards and 7 more TD.

Name Team Yr Pos G Att Yards Avg. TD Att/G Yards/G
1 Leonard Fournette LSU SO RB 11 271 1741 6.42 18 24.64 158.27
2 Derrick Henry Alabama JR RB 13 339 1986 5.86 23 26.08 152.77
3 Dalvin Cook FSU SO RB 11 211 1658 7.86 18 19.18 150.73
4 Royce Freeman Oregon SO RB 12 257 1706 6.64 14 21.42 142.17
5 Christian McCaffrey Stanford SO RB 13 319 1847 5.79 8 24.54 142.08

5 Christian McCaffrey Stanford SO RB 13 319 1847 5.79 8 24.54 142.08

If you're only looking at McCaffrey's rushing totals, you have absolutely no idea who this kid is or what he does. Take a look at his total yards against USC.

Henry is averaging less than 6 a carry. Get out of here with those numbers. That is unless he is the most special player in nation because he got the most carries. He is not even the best back in the SEC.,

But ...but..leonard fournette had it all wrapped up by week 5 ....

Like others have stated it should go to McCaffrey but it's going to be , most like either watson or henry because team success accounts for a lot .

Stanford is ranked #5 LOL dude just doesn't get as much attention as the others plain and simple

Isaiah Thomas says if he were black, he'd be just another RB.

Never once did i say that. McCaffrey definitely deserves to be there and probably should win based on everything he does.
