we didnt play them well though, got quite lucky. No point in going forward to touch them first, 2 of the kicks weren't going 10 yards.

Onside kicks by nature are ridiculously random. It's the ultimate results over process exercise.

The most important thing is to fill the good hands team with players who are confident and strong handling the football amongst the chaos

Onside kicks are so nuts that even the officiating can end up being guesswork.

You got to have players with confidence and courage to snatch that ball and hold on to it no matter what

Considering they blocked us before 10 yards on each of the last two and it wasn't called, I'd say the coverage was just fine, even if they got them it would have went to replay and been reversed.
