Said he might visit uf and miami and then said well he will visit miami. Has a good relationship with searles, rumph, and richt. The key to getting him is winning over mom and pops. Said he isnt making the decision himself and if they like it that is key to getting him.

Miami told him he can come in and play early and michigan told him he would have to compete with a jr tackle and another ot. After that he said "i want to play early".

Im starting to think him and slaton will be in the class.

Just my opinion--Kid is a pass protector with good feet but needs S&C to get more muscle. At the combine 10 months or so ago he was 6-4 and 277 pounds. Just marginally tall enough for a tackle and weight needs to be 20 pounds more of muscle to be real effective. May eventually move inside to guard if he can get big enough. If taken he may needs to redshirt a season. Better that Telfort. If some of the ones we are after do not pan out then definitely a go with this kid.

Win over the parents.. That just happens to be Mark Richt's specialty

Sounds like things could be trending our way

He is supposedly about 285 now. Still needs another 15lbs.

I've never seen this guy play, but given his size, is there any reason to think he'd make a good C? Would be nice to have an athletic guy who could get to the second level and mow down opposing LBs.

Pete said he isn't a take

Herbert is 100% a take.

Telfort isn't.

Herbert has athleticism and the lighter weight can be overcome in a good S&C program. Telfort is not a natural knee bender, and is on his toes at the line of scrimmage and then on his heels backing up much of the time allowing quick guys to blow by him.

Good to hear that!

My bold prediction a month and a half ago was that they would land both Slaton/Herbert. There has been a quiet confidence about it.

Would be a huge pull on multiple fronts. First, we just need a lot of help up front. Secondly, if we keep Donaldson, we would pull 3 out of the 4 big time OL recruits down here. It would be great for perception
