haven't seen anything like it ... malachi toney

Another wonderful thing about having these youngsters at practice is that it may give many the only opportunity to have in-person experience.
Let's be honest, tickets, concessions and parking are not getting cheaper and many families of modest means may not have time or money to attend games.
I remember the old days where I would see families using public transportation to get to the old Orange Bowl (RIP) and as a kid my first experience attending a UM game was in 1979 when Burger King was giving away free tickets.
This is an opportunity for local kids to connect with one of their own, up close and personal, and we
need this to keep grassroots support and to help stem this believe that it is cooler to leave town over representing our local team (aka, "the good guys").
Always wondered why Miami doesn’t give away tickets to games they know are going to be low attendance games to the youth leagues.Wouldn't cost them anything and they’d get a lot of it back in concessions.

Great point ,

There are so many kids suffering with illegitimate parents, no fathers except to release themselves and walk out.

They cry out for heroes. ones like MT, Fletcher and so on . Heroes with a wholesome heart whom survived being a lonely child.

How hard is it to go to a group of kids give the tickets and with a group of parents tell them we’ll pick you up here go to a game , just one game with all the fixins?

I look at all the big money at canes games and wonder the same thing .

These kids would wear there football T shirts helmets everything in excitement, and take them on the field.

MT , should be asked one day CAN YOU HELP get to the right people.

We all know MT answer , IT IS POSSIBLE

Hopefully spring game isnt closed off like it has been recently.. Would be a missed opportunity I think..

said this a while back, we cant even begin
to quantify and place a dollar value on what Malachi did for U football with kids in the community who are now establishing their first football memories and their fandom and who they emulate in the front yard playing catch with themselves. Malachi made it cool to be a SOFLa star and stay home, and proved you can win, play on a big stage, develop, play early, and get PAID 💰 his impact will be felt the next 10 years. Miami should continue to cut him an annual check long after he leaves

If it’s one thing we do well, it’s give a ton of tickets to youth and youth leagues. I always see them all over the stadium. In their jerseys. Entire teams.

Hope he can keep up performing like an all-time great with all of the praise and adoration! It's not easy to handle for anyone, much less an 18/19 year-old.

That's awesome!
It can be tough to get many youth players attending Saturday games, especially early games, but I hear we have several Friday games this upcoming season.

They do. The upper end zones for games against teams like FAMU are usually filled with optimist league football teams. You’ll see large groups of youth league kids at almost every game

heart and soul of this team

some rare people have been that before:

Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, Jerome Brown, Michael Irvin
And, he’s tapped into the hearts, souls and minds of these kids and the community. No better ambassador to rep the University and the program. And, he does it by being himself, a really great kid. Thank you Mali.🙌🏽

Baby steps,.. lead by Baby Jesus. He’s got their attention, now Canes need to bring that to fruition and grow that idea that’s it good to be homegrown and a Miami Hurricane.🙌🏽

+4000 for the Heisman. Which is crazy. Dude is the best football player in America
The Heisman trophy nowadays rarely goes to the best player. It goes to the most popular good player which is often the QB for the team that wins the best (not most).
