Has the program turned a corner?

Sure seems like we're on the way to a sustained winner, and that Mario has proven last year wasn't a one off just because of Ward. Doesn't mean we'll win it all, but the floor has been raised signifanctly.

I believe.
They posted the win totals on the screen during the game - we've been on the right trajectory for a while.

Last year was frustrating because we ran into a Heisman calibre, #1 overall pick QB and the D just couldn't get out of it's own way for long enough to take advantage.

I think it’s clear we’ve significantly upgraded the talent across the roster. We played no where near our A game tonight but simply outclassed USF in terms of raw talent. So

I think we’re on the right track and have thought that for a while.

With that said we smoked our first 4 opponents last year then didn’t even make a conference championship or CFP after a 9-0 start. The year before that we started 4-0 and blew Texas AM out.

It's undeniable that Mario has taken the program to the next level. I'm realistic about his limitations as a gameday HC but you cannot deny the program is levels above where it's been the past 20ish years. I appreciate his commitment to fixing the glaring issues. He's had some dud coordinator hires that have set him back but he's addressed the issues each offseason.

Miami has turned the corner when they finish on a strong note. Does not have to be a national championship but need to win the ACC, get a CFP birth, and win a playoff game. No close games against teams we should blow out, especially at Pitt and at Virginia Tech in late November. Miami doesn’t have win by a 35-point margin but they can’t be close games Miami holds on to win.

Also need to come back strong in 2026. Miami loses Carson Beck, Bain, Mesidore, and CiCi.

Maybe even a new offensive coordinator and other staff.
