The only thing I'll say about special teams is that Bubba's alignment on the second field goal was way off. In Las Vegas we used to make man-to-man bets on field goal attempts all day long in the sportsbooks. A few of us, anyway. Year after year. The bottom line wasn't make or miss, but which side of dead center. Once you got a feel for it under that criteria is became surprisingly easy, and you got a feel for each kicker's mechanics, not unlike a golf swing.
Anyway, I can state with absolute certainty that as soon as Bubba lined up for that second field goal, everybody from that Las Vegas group would have immediately shouted, "Left." I shouted "Left" in my living room as others laughed. It only happens occasionally when the kicker is so far poorly aligned that the direction is glaring. Bubba made a sloppy adjustment on his shuffle steps and didn't go nearly far enough left. It had to be a pull hook with that type of alignment. I wasn't sure he would miss but it was definitely going to threaten left upright more than dead center.
However, to his credit he made a nice adjustment on the first extra point and his shuffle steps were perfect. I wasn't sure where than one was going. It turned out to be a very slight push to the right center of the uprights.
Oh, the deep onside kick was actually very well designed but maybe 3-5 yards further right than ideal. The announcers didn't emphasize enough how close that came to burning LSU, which was not well prepared.
