What happens to players who go undrafted? Can they return to play college ball? Already happened in basketball. Would have to imagine some could get paid more to go back to college then be a UFA. If they have eligibility left.

I thought the same thing after that kid went to Bama. I’d imagine they’d have to still have some eligibility and can’t sign any pro contract. Idk, let’s let another school, LSU, toe that line first.

I don’t think you can return to college after the draft concludes. IIRC harbaugh was banging the drum a few years back to make that change.

I think Pete mentioned on the pod the other day there was a punter I think last year that was able to come back after going undrafted

Two players so far in college basketball from NBA. Currently, no. Like poster above said, just lawsuit away.

What happens after the season? Or can they be signed to the NBA during the season again? Or do they get re-entered into the draft the following year?

Buddy at this point I just think they’re slinging 💩 at the wall & wherever it sticks, they just roll with it.

Just curious because I’d they could have a 2nd crack at the draft we could see alot more underclassman declaring.

Plus if they can sign with an NFL team in the middle of their college season that would be devastating to the team they play for

Football, baseball & basketball have different draft rules all while being in the NCAA. Only way I could sit it happening is if the were ruled ineligible (redshirt) year of & sat out why being reinstated.

These G League guys made way less than players now & NIL

If the didn't play in any NBA games, I guess I don't see what they can't use any remaining eligibility

Guess same for minor league baseball?

The rule is that once you declare your eligibility is done. But that rule was in place because agents were giving advances to players thereby ending their "amateur" status. But in the NIL era that's irrelevant. It's another mess coming no one seems in a hurry to address.

And yes there are plenty of UDFAs that would command big $$ in college.
