Just a few short weeks ago the Auburn fan base was howling that Gus Malzahn be immediately fired.

The punch line to this story is Malzahn, the guy that destroyed the #1 team in the country--Auburn’s passionately hated arch rival, is rumored to be taking the Arkansas job! And during today’s post game press conference Malzahn was asked about the rumors and he answered; “I don’t respond to rumors” WHAT-O!!! Of course, the very same wing-nuts who were viciously calling for Malzahn’s execution will wail the loudest that he’s a trader should he take the Arkansas job.

Reading comments from many of our unique fans would lead the casual reader to conclude that Miami hasn’t won a game this season and their coaching staff and players offer as much value as a used syringe in an Aids clinic.

Canes Head Coach Mark Richt was named as one of 16 semifinalists for the George Munger College Coach of the Year award. Yet, when you read many of the comments on this blog about the man you would think he was a poor man’s combination of Randy Shannon, Al Golden, Ron Zook and a one legged, blind, deaf-mute with a single digit IQ. Further, that same illustrious group of “fans” consider Coach Diaz to be about 50 notches below Coach Richt and have demanded he be fired on numerous occasions. To be clear, their views change by the second as for instance…a long pass completion makes Coach Richt a momentary genius…then a player drops a pass and the “experts” start screaming that he’s the worst offensive play caller in the world…Diaz calls a blitz that results in a quarterback sack and the usual suspects think he’s better than Buddy Ryan…two plays later an opposing running back breaks off a 7 yard gain and they now scream…“Go back to Texas ya bum!”

Here’s the reality…most all of us don’t know what we don’t know when it comes to college football. We learn several buzzwords/terms and throw them around like we are Bill Belichick…or Mark Richt! WE ARE NOT!!! Just read the game day threads and it’s like being a witness in a kangaroo court where Pablo Escobar is the judge, jury and executioner. One second Pablo loves the knee knocking defendant then he notices his hair is not parted to his liking so he executes the poor SOB. Even Pablo would have been taken aback by the brutal decisions being meted out on the game day thread…those Gringos scare me!

Reality; The University of Miami Hurricanes boast a 10 and 1 record, are the ACC’s Coastal Division Champion, will soon play for the ACC Championship, could end up playing for the National Championship and should they not play for the National Championship are favored to be invited to the Orange Bowl Classic. Yet, if you didn’t know the above when reading the comments dispersed throughout this blog you would come away believing that the coaches and players wouldn’t qualify for a pee-wee football team.

Is it not possible to collectively enjoy this historic moment in the University of Miami’s illustrious football history? Is the goal to see if we can tear the program down by convincing recruits and their parents they don’t want any parts of this Chernobyl like football program? How about this…start treating the coaches and players the way you want your employees or boss to sternly treat you. In other words, if you make even the slightest mistake at any time you should have an agreement with your boss that you be immediately terminated. Should you be a business owner instruct your employees to micromanage your every move and as a group have them pass judgment, along with publicly ridiculing you, even if they have no idea how the area they are judging truly works.

Now, let’s see if we can get 100 down votes, because NO ONE has the right to JUDGE YOU!!!

It's in our DNA -- when it's good, it's GREAT... When it's not great, it's unacceptable. UM fans ride the highs and lows of the sport, which is why any given Saturday they might either be the undisputed BEST fan-base in all of CFB, or the most irrational, intolerant, 'fake [to the outsiders] fans in all of CFB.'

Also, when you get used to winning even when you play poorly, you tend to not reflect on the game the way you would if they lost. Can't sweep this issue under the rug any longer.

Awesome!!! I couldn’t have said it any better. Many ungrateful, disloyal fans in here.

Well, up until this past Friday the Canes were undefeated and the hate hurled at the coaches and players throughout the season borders on non-stop. In my book undefeated or one, two or even three losses is great when you consider the program has gone through almost 15 years of being buried 20 feet under the basement of college football. It is my opinion that if Miami "fans" are not happy now then they simply enjoy complaining and constantly searching for anything to feel unhappy about. Again, if you lead your life under the exacting standards that many demand of the Canes please share your story, because that will make you the first perfect human being I've ever come into contact with.

And they don’t realize how quickly we could be in the market for another corch! We have a pretty good squad here leading these guys. I think the past few national champs gave had losses on their resumes so I’ll eat this one and take our chances next weekend that these same coaches will have this team ready to play.

By the words of many on this blog...prior to Coach Richt taking the reins of the Canes the program was a full on disaster...and that's putting it mildly! Then, in a nano second, the man has revamped the program and has the country seriously talking about the Canes playing for a National Championship. Additionally, if you believe the words of the posters on this blog, he's accomplished positioning the program to win the ACC and National Championship or the Orange Bowl with a terrible quarterback (I do not believe Rosier is a terrible QB!). Yet, the criticism Coach Richt receives from a loud group who refer to themselves as "Miami Fans" is deafening and just plain...WRONG!!!

Well put.

We’ll criticize other programs for unrealistic expectations but we need to be undefeated or the coach failed.

Just over two years ago we lost 58-0 to Clemson, at home. We’re 10-1 and playing them for the ACC Championship on Saturday.

Think about that.

Same drooling ‘phans’ gush over Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh is 0-3 against Ohio State, 1-2 against Michigan State. 8-4 in his third season. I thought he was a ‘savage’, no? Doesn’t he ‘have all his players’ yet?
