....take over the D!! He HAS to!! He cannot just wait until the offseason to course correct. Not when we are within reach of a complete re-branding. Whether or not he wants to dismiss Blake now or just do it privately and "Co-Coordinate" the D with his buddy so he saves face and maybe gets another position coaching job after he's released, is irrelevant!

Manny is too dang close to let it get away from him now. He can secure the recruiting class, momentum and branding by getting to 10 wins before the bowl. It's time to sack up and do what is necessary for the team, the school and its fans, regardless of hypothetical promises made in August. It's your time, Manny. You can do this. It's not easy, it's no comfortable, but you are making over $3million a year to make these tough calls. Take over the D....

And Patke. Our LB play is the worst I have ever seen. I say this without hyperbole or exaggeration, I’m not sure they have made a play the entire season, that’s without the number of missed tackles and running themselves out of play.

Yea but the linebackers are coached by baker, not patke. Patke coaches the striker which has actually played well.

And that’s the striker In this defense. The other two actually linebackers are classified as inside linebackers. Now don’t get me wrong I’m no Patke fan, abd he’s recruiting is garbage but he does have the strike position and special teams playing well for the time being.

Sorry but that is just factually incorrect. Our depth chart has striker, middle LB, and weak side LB.

Agree striker looks good. Hedley and Jose both are studs. We had the one game with the FG blocks and the onside kick. But we have also had multiple fumbles on punts, a kickoff return for a td, several penalties on returns, have jumped offsides on several FG attempts, and today’s fake fg. If you want to bring in last year, we had multiple fakes work as well, fumbles, and the disaster that was Baxa. I think crediting him for Hedley and Jose is generous, but let’s say a mixed bag. His recruiting leaves something to be desired too.

I think Banda and Stroud have had earned their keep from recruiting, though the safety play has not been too good recently. It’s a bit of a mess on that side, if we are being honest.
 
I think he did take over the defense... he had the play sheet and the 2nd half adjustments made us a Diaz specialty
