enough with the 1 vs 2's in camp, shoulda had Gerald Willis exposing dudes so they would be ready, The U is known for practices being harder than games.. not when the safety is knowles and the DT is tito o****hereigo

A thousand times this! What's the purpose of a game-prep scrimmage if it's 1's v 2's (especially with a lack of upperclassman depth)!?

Yup... need to turn up the comp. Even though I am not AS hard on Knowles for missing that tackle on the long run... 1. It was like we had our entire second string D in; 2. a lineman should never run to block the FS untouched on a run up the middle; and 3. we are spoiled with Jaquan making that play time and time again.... Take the blocker out completely and just have a RB against a FS 1-on-1 in the middle of the field, 15 yards from the LOS a good RB should make that play. I would be ****ed if Homer got taken down by a single high FS 1-on-1 in the open field.

I'm almost certain that during drills Willis has gone up against first-team offensive lineman.

eh, don't think it's a huge deal. Even back in the 90s we did the same kind of thing. At some points, yeah, practice had 1 v 1s but most of the practice was 1 v scout team.

No. It's called scout team for a reason. Kinda helps game plan.

Think they are talking about scrimmage, there was never a competition. Rosier is gonna look good when he is throwing to jeff thomas and Ahmon against Knowles and Dean. The other qb are throwing against starters with 2nd team oline

For those of you who know is this common around college football? Playing the 1's vs 2's?
in season practice is usually starters against scout team, in training camp its up to coaches but in scrimmages you want 1vs1. We did 1vs2 then get surprised when the scrubs still suck in game.

Back in the day we always did 1v1s in scrimmages. FSU always did 1v2s in their scrimmages and we'd laugh at their gaudy scrimmage stats, then go out and kick their *** every season. Not a fan of 1v2s in scrimmages.
