Hi guys,

I know newbies shouldn't start threads but I'm just too excited.

I just want to express my gratitude to Pete and you all for keeping me more up to date than ever before with everything that is happening with the Canes. The Work, the forums, recruiting updates... it's all absolutely top-notch stuff. I'm in Ireland but this site keeps me completely up to date with everything that is happening.

Also I'm incredibly excited about what's about to happen to our Canes. It's not going to be perfect. We're likely not to win every game. We're likely to make multiple mistakes in games. But I can feel the progress.

My hope is that every Cane fan enjoys the ride. That we praise our young men at every opportunity. That we build them up to be the best that they can be. That we constructively criticise the play of our young men but are constantly aware that these men are giving their all for our U. They will make mistakes. I'm sure even the greatest of our legends didn't go through their UM careers without having a few plays they wish they could do over.

We are on the cusp of something great. We have a great man at the helm. We have a great staff. We have great players. We have each other.

As a great man once said 'The U holds up man. It's here, it's here, it's something special.' Let's enjoy what we have and help everyone (player, coach, admin, parent, fan) wearing The U be the best they can be.

I'm new here too Irish. I've been a Mark Richt for 15 years. Great coach! This is a great site for Cane info.

Great to have you with us. Where are you in Ireland? It's a beautiful country with lots of friendly people.

I was in Ireland a few years ago during football season. I called around to about every bar in Dublin to see if they had satellite so I could possibly get the Miami vs. FSU game. I ended up with a bartender from the USA who said if I found one to let him know and he would pick me up and pay for everything. Unfortunately, I did not find one. I learned my lesson and don't travel in areas where I can't get the 'Canes on TV.

Welcome aboard. Site is the best. It is my go to for all things Cane and more. Staff is great and tons of good posters. Heck, you can get your business and political news here with more truth than any place else. After all, It olny happens at THE U! I expect us to be undefeated when we play those "other" irish, so it should be exciting.

I don't know of any IRL but timbotx (who started a thread today too) is from Ireland too. I'm spreading the gospel over here as best I can.

I'm from Mayo, live in Galway but work mainly in Dublin - I'm in the lucky situation to be young enough not have too many responsibilities and self-employed in software dev so I'm pretty flexible with where I work from. Make sure to drop me a line if you're ever back here again!

Welcome aboard. Saturdays this fall should no longer be a time where we all want to kill ourselves.

/NJ2FlaCane would have greeted you with a "blow it out your ***" or "drink bleach" back in the day :jeremyshockey:
