Gotta say, not overly impressed with Enos tonight (but not freaking out)

1) Don't understand why he didn't help the young tackles. No chipping or anything. He left them on islands in the most crucial situations.

2) Don't understand not changing the snap count. I suppose maybe he didn't trust his young OL/QB with a hard count, but that sure made it tough on them when the DL figured out the cadence..

3) No roll outs? And he did the thing I hate when OCs do and they almost all do it. Stay with play action even when it's not slowing anyone on defense down.

4) Once it became clear that the zebras were gonna call PI on everything and that UFs secondary were the dumbest bunch on earth with awful technique, he should have called more shots downfield.

5) JT4 doesn't touch the ball once until mid way through the 2nd quarter. Just inexplicable.

Overall though, it really just felt like Mullen and Grantham were one step ahead of him all night. I don't think anything we did fooled them. Every big offensive play we had was from a great individual effort, not from outscheming them at all.

Now to be fair, that was a very very tough situation for a rookie QB and 2 rookie OTs and say what you want about Franks and their idiot secondary, there's a bunch on future NFL players we went up against and I think this will be the toughest D we see this season by far, unless we make it to the ACCCG.

I think things will improve as he gets to know his personnel better and learns to trust his QB. But at times I think Jarren being terrified to make a mistake hurt us, especially late. Not giving up or overreacting but our shiny new OC got outcoached by the old dogs on the other side, personnel advantages aside. Need to see more going forward.

On a general note, I put this Gator team on par with last year's LSU team so obviously I think we're significantly better. I think if we play them week 5 or later, we win. But this wasn't week 5, and this hurts. They played a ******, sloppy game (as did we) but hit all the pressure points that were a disadvantage, and that was just enough for them to escape with a win. I think we're gonna win a bunch of games this year once Jarren and Enos really get on the same page and once he figures out how to protect his rookie tackles.
