Good Game "Good" Loss

This is one game that I won't kill Golden for. The team fought hard the entire game, but came up short.
My biggest take-aways:
1) Our Oline really sucks.
2) Not having Chad, Aqm, and Norton starting and playing every down is why this coach should be fired
3) Coley finally called a complete game.

Wtf lol?

You're a ******* f4ggot. Go root for FIU or someone you ****less *****.

It's amusing to see how the mental midgets here get all bent out of shape over someone saying last night's loss wasn't a bad one.

He's right too and here's why.

CINCY loss was a bad one. We were favored and crapped the bed. Losing to UVA year after year, those are bad losses. Maryland years back, Pitt, and the list is long under the last three coaches

Playing competitively against a team favored to win where 95 percent of our fan base predicted a loss, most of those *****ing in this thread by a wide margin. We were in a position to win the game, besides a win there's not much more you can ask for.

The OP didn't say he wanted a participation trophy. He didn't say much of anything besides it was a fight. It wasn't pretty, we did some things horribly and some things well. We came up short, it's typical of us under the last three HC's.

Every year when teams are talked about, the term good or bad loss is tossed around. Nobody is applauding the loss, but some are better than others. We get it though, you don't do anything but regurgitate the same stuff in different threads so have at it. Funny, nobody is saying Al needs more time, but you all accusing whomever of such.

Another monocle wearing feggit.

You know what a good loss would be? If your and OP's moms lost you both during the third trimester.

Aww, come on Fran, surely you can do better. Go after the poster rather than the post. At the very least, you need some new material as yours is getting stale. Sticks and stones....

Isn't it time to suit up with your VT avatar? You're so cute changing it from week to week.

We are Miami, there are no good losses.

My take away from this is we are 1 game closer to a new staff.

5 yrs and 95% of the fan base predict a loss. That says all I need to hear.

My take away from this is we are 1 game closer to a new staff.

So when we were shafted in 2000 by not playing OU and had beaten the opponent the computer system picked for them, our loss to Washington wasn't ever talked about as a good loss? You're reinventing history if you say it wasn't. What would've obviously been better would've not losing that game of course.

So if we were supposed to be in that game, why not Washington? They beat us, but lost to a two loss Oregon team, right? Oh, we were playing the best ball at the end of the season (I do believe that), so we get a pass, right? Their loss and ours, both were on the road and close, so what gives?

When 95 percent of this board predicted a loss, a big loss mostly, and we had the ball in our hands with the clock ticking down....how do you rationalize that one? We expected to lose, could've won it though, so no....it isn't a bad loss. It's a loss, it was a competitive game, and that's that. Good loss, that's an oxymoron unless it's used in the context of sport. Losing to Cinch was a bad loss, one we all agree we should've won. Again, expected big loss by FSU, could've won it, so that's just a loss to you?

LULZ at these ***** with battered wife syndrome.

"But guys, we played FSU really really though. This wasn't a bad loss, we were competitive!"

Since when did playing a team competitively warrant praise?

This is Miami football; not FIU, FAU, or some other bullshlt program where winning 7 or 8 games in a shltty conference equates to success.

This is Folden's 5th year. His most talented defensive unit. The worst FSU team he's played.

And we're talking about progress because we kept it close.

Get the fck out of here you faqqots.

Cute picture, way to contribute.

Coley will script up 2-3 good drives. Then our offense will implode as usual.

Scripted plays only typically happen the first drive, but it sounds good on a message board so run with it.

Golden is 0-12 against teams who finish the season in the Top 25.

I'm sure FSU won't finish in the Top 25 and I'm sure that it will all finally click for Golden tonight, despite a bad loss on the road already this season, to a 2-2 team..

In case you glossed over that, I'll repeat it: Al Golden is 0-12 against teams who finish the season in the Top 25.

Further, Al Golden is:

10-15 on the road
11-18 overall against teams with winning records
4-7 against ranked teams

Unfortunately you didn't post in the prediction thread, but that was another wonderful contribution. At least you filled us in on what's been posted ad nauseam on this board and others. FSU unranked at season's end, I'd bet differently.

This FSU team is worlds better than Cincy, despite how "bad" you think they are.

And in case you forgot, we lost to Cincy by double digits, with Cincy having the lead for most of the game.

So while you didn't post a predicted score, the above would indicate a BIG loss, yes? So how do you explain the close score? Was Jumbo playing it close to try and save Golden's job? You didn't post there, so I guess we will ever wonder.

Moral Victory? Maybe they all should get little trophies too!
Fact-We recorded another loss and 5th straight to FSU.
Fact-We knew going into the season the OL would be an issue because GOLDEN didn't properly recruit this position! (and LB!)
Fact-Defense gave up over 200 yards and several loooong runs to ONE RB you knew was the focus and motor of their offense!
Fact-These 2 idiots (Golden and Donut) still have no idea how to put the best combination of talent on the field!
Fact-Golden should be fired!

No little trophies, but that was still a **** good fight by our kids. Plus in 2nd half coaches were less incompetent than usual. But other than that, I agree with all your facts.
I know you're trolling but God **** it's got me rustled cause I know people actually think like this.

Year 5 and people are still talking about moral victories. I hate this fan base and this program

I am not trolling. It was a good fight to the end, especially 2nd half, and I appreciate a good fight. It does NOT change the fact that Golden should be gone, but he had the kids up and ready to go all game, and he was less incompetent(2nd half) than usual.
Uh, how is it any different than last year or the year before. We always play FSU tough. We did nothing different last night. We got the same result and in the end thats all that matters.

NVA, if we always play FSU tough, why we're most here predicting a beat down for us?

The end result is really all that matters, but it's funny how some can't even bother to give some credit for a hard fight. I know it doesn't win us anything and in years to come, nobody will see or remember anything but a loss. Still, some don't want to give anything away, they just can't stand being wrong about anything and it's pathetic of them.

Our fan base never ceases to amaze. We have one guy proud of our 6 millionth straight loss to FSU and our fans call him every name in the book including saying you hope he dies and kills himself. This thread epitomizes this board. It's either one extreme or the other. We have some real champs for fans.

I'll never call a loss a good loss.
When all was said and done, the difference between us and FSU over the last 2 years was Davin Cook.
That's not a very good thing, because Clemson will expose FSU as an average football team.

Where is Cook from?

And people call Golden a good recruiter.....LOL

Gotta keep em in "the 305"
