@ByTimReynolds: Golden says Morris was victimized by five drops.

@ByTimReynolds: Golden says playing man in third-down didn't work in certain situations ... "we've got to fight through"

@ByTimReynolds: Golden says in 23 years, he never saw things unravel as quickly as they did last night.

@ByTimReynolds: Golden on guys sticking with their training: "More important now than ever."

@ByTimReynolds: Golden got asked if Miami should play more man. He says they played more man than any time this year last night.

@ByTimReynolds: Golden: "Perhaps man-to-man is not the best way to defend a running quarterback. ... Circumstance of the game changed a lot of things."

Monday

Couple of quotes from QAM interview this morning:

"been in college football since 1987 never seen 3 plays impact the game like it did vs. VT" (2 fumbles and punt attempt)

"coming in the goal was to get to 30 pts against VT defense"

"..had to move away to the gameplan and be more aggressive"

"game plan coming in was to allow Logan to sit in the pocket"

"its not just about Mark D; its Mark, its defensive staff; defensive players"

"missed tackles in the end of the 1st half that ended up in a score were back breakers..

"at the end of the day its not about pointing fingers its about getting things better"

Regarding defense and fan calling for Coach D:
Defense has twice as many sacks as last year and increase TOs

stephen was victim of 5 drops

"I'm the ST coordinator, if you want to point the blame, blame me"

"I approve everything that happens with EVERY facet of the program PERIOD"

"the buck stops with me"

Don't do it, Al.

I love you, but don't deflect the blame here.

Dorito needs to be held accountable.

I dont know about "victimized" b/c Morris had a very good game under those circumstances... but those drops from Herb Waters and Clive Walford were terrible drive and momentum killers.

only those that dont know much about football will say Morris had a bad game last night.

Golden should spend more time pointing out the main problem w/ this team and it starts and ends w/ his best friend.

Some would argue that Morris underthrew Waters - if he hits him in stride it's a TD. Instead he threw it about 5 yards behind him and he had to adjust. Still should catch it, but that's also on the QB.

LOL of course

I am not a Morris fan, but he didnt give up 500+ yards, or fumble kickoffs, or drop passes.

Perhaps playing man to man with your 240 pound Linebacker on a receiver all game is not the best way to play any defense

Must have not been watching the Notre Dame game last year.

Tired of the excuses. Always blames the execution. This coming from someone who likes Golden.

How about the fact that a LBer is one on one with a WR in space?

Or a S line up inside is one on one with a WR outside the hash?

Or the fact that our play calling on both sides is so predictable?

Sittuation where a player is put in an impossible situation to succeed.

Was the same thing last year. Except he would go after the Offense more. Notcied that he would never really put the blame on the defense last year, offense was always brought up as a main reason instead..... blownofrio is never going anywhere.

Agree with him about the man coverage. IF we had played man coverage then THomas would have ran for 150 yards and you'd all be *****ing about why we played man against a running QB. Lose/lose situation.

because playing man with a spy is not in the playbook

We won't win with this guy. It's going to be a tough 2 years.

This next coach is going to inherit some real ballers. All I'm asking of Al moving forward, is to stock the cupboard for the next guy.

That's where I'm at now.
