From Sun Sentinel Article...

Added Hurricanes coach Al Golden, “I didn’t recruit Clive Walford, but Clive Walford, you can make the case he improved every year during his career. He accepted coaching, addressed his flaws, eliminated defects…his long speed, his stamina, his endurance is better than it’s ever been. He didn’t have that last year and you guys know before that, he didn’t have the size or strength or the inline blocking. Now, the overall conceptual awareness and intellect, his football intellect is awesome right now.”

This is disgusting how Golden mentions how Walford was coached up.. We all know the story that Walford didn't pick up football until his Senior year in High School, there's No Need to mention any of what Walford wasn't....

It's A Desperate Cry to the public that although he can't coach this team to Victories, the staff has done a great individual job on Walford....

He is subtly blaming the others players for failing to be "coached up". Not very admirable.

Ok Golden, so you are saying Larry Scott is a great coach and we should consider keeping him when we let you go? dully noted

When you have to point out specific examples of players you have developed, it means that example is the exception, not the rule.

Fat boy is also subtly pointing out that he had Randy's recruits in the upper-class. He hasn't had a full cycle.

Brad Kaaya was just voted ACC Rookie of the Year.. How much credit is Golden going to give to the coaching staff on this one?

Congratulations Brad Kaaya well deserved
